"You insult me, Vik. I have friends from all walks of life." Illya looked away from his image, clearly fed up with his questioning. "And besides, if a war breaks out, you're going to get hit first. The Upper City will get hit first. As far as I'm concerned, I'd be safer in the Undercity." "We aren't safe anywhere, trust me. I've just heard that someone in the Middle City just got arrested for having a lightsaber. A real one. It could be the Jedi... or a Sith. Anyway, I want you to come to the Upper City with me. The Republic will protect you and your friends far better than anyone else can. Please," Vik pleaded.

Illya ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it back away from her face. "You want me to come stay in some of the tallest towers on Taris??? The biggest targets for a Sith invasion??? You must be out of your mind."

The officers would turn to Adriav, visibly worried. "No... no trouble. Come with us," The officers would escort Adriav down a few walkways filled with Taris citizens as they made their way to their destination. Normally, an alien getting arrested by authorities on Taris wasn't anything to gawk at. It was very common. But with the threat of the Sith looming overhead and the fact that everyone knew a Jedi was on planet, the trio had all eyes on them. Just as the officer's transport came into view, Adriav's holocom began to ring. It seemed he had a call. Adriav looked down at his belt and back to one of the officers. "Would you mind? It's my... companion and I need to make sure they don't ruin my laundry again. They did such a dreadful job last time." He would ask in a mocking tone. "It wouldn't take but a minute, I assure you."

Adriav would recieve his holocomm.
But both him and Illya would get the same call. A call from Apollo that also cut off Vik's call to Illya.
The image of the Hutt began his speech, "Hello champions. As you can see, the Sith have invaded Taris. And as you can imagine, that fact may hinder our race in a way that I will not allow. Therefore, I have decided to move up the date of the race. Our first race begins tommorrow morning," Apollo said with a smile.

"Vik...?" she started, but stopped when Apollo popped up on her holocomm. "Hello champions. As you can see, the Sith have invaded Taris. Illya watched the holo with wide eyes before looking towards the Gypsy. She marched through the hangar and up the ramp. "Cylan! We have a problem."

He turned to the guards and addressed one, "Is there any way you can arrest or kill Apollo? Public indecency or something?"

Inside the Gypsy, Illya would find The Zenox Cluster Pirates sitting together in the gathering room. The entire crew was present, even ones she didn't recognize. Apparently Cylan had gathered a few more friends since she last been on the Gypsy. Attention shifted to Illya once she entered the room. "Yeah, we just got the message," Cylan would say. "Apollo moved the date on us. Meaning we have a few hours at best to put a decent chariot together." Cylan looked on to his crew members, seeing if any of them had anything to say. "The message seemed address to everybody, so we should expect more challenge from others... Or maybe they'll flake and break under pressure," Synox, Illya's champion in the race, would chime in.

The officers watched alongside Adriav as Apollo gave his message. Afterward, Adriav asked, "Is there any way you can arrest or kill Apollo? Public indecency or something?" The officers took a moment to analyze what they had just heard and looked at one another. They shared a look of confusion and nervousness on their faces. Eventually one of them would respond with, "Apollo is above our pay-grade guy. He controls a large part of Taris and if he's got beef with you then you'd better be worried. Jedi or not." The other officer would ask, "What was he talking about anyway? Some sort of race?"

"Let's not bet on that," Illya told Synox, "There are some pretty tough-skinned players in this game. People with dangerous jobs and a lot more money than us." She looked over at Cylan, "We need to play dirty if we're going to win."

"Besides, most of those posh pushovers can't hold a candle to us," Beezu said with a chuckle. Cylan rubbed a hand down his mask, thinking to himself. He'd speak once their was complete silence in the room. "We don't need to worry about any of the races. We have those taken care of. I'm more concerned about afterwards. Securing the assets and keeping our distance from any of the losers who want to try and get there stuff back. Oh, and can't forget the Sith. We'll have to get past that blockade." "Unless they get what they're looking for," the black man chimed in again. "They won't. And if they do, it won't matter. This has all the makings of a war..." Cylan responded to his crew-mate.

Now, shall we get on with this? I have business to attend to."

One of the officers was going to say something, but at the last second decided not too. Instead, the duo continued to escort Adriav to the transport. Once they reached the airship, the officers were relieved by Republic troopers and official Republic officers, those of which brought Adriav on board. The transport took off with none of the passengers addressing their prisoner. They did however, give him the eye and report in to their superiors. In a matter of minutes, the transport arrived at Taris' Epicenter. The Senate Building. From there, Adriav would be greeted by a plethora of Republic guardsmen. And at the center of the guards was there captain, dressed in official Guard Captain attire, whom welcomed Adriav. "Welcome to the Galactic Republic Senate Building. Right this way," said the captain, turning to signal for the prisoner to follow him and his guards.

"We're Pirates. We always play dirty," said the large older black man leaning up against the hull. Illya didn't recognize him. Illya cut the man a spiteful glance. She didn't know him, so it was obvious that he was new to the crew. Meaning he hadn't seen 'dirty' yet. No. She wasn't talking about lying and stealing. She was talking about straight-up sabotage. Corrosive acid. Explosives. Reinforced durasteel. Prepared attack strategies. She wasn't about to lose her life's work due to lack of preparation on some pirate's part. "Besides, most of those posh pushovers can't hold a candle to us," Beezu said with a chuckle. "True. But I'd like to see you try to take on one of the trained killers that they hire to pummel us in this race." "We don't need to worry about any of the races. We have those taken care of. I'm more concerned about afterwards. Securing the assets and keeping our distance from any of the losers who want to try and get their stuff back. Oh, and can't forget the Sith. Cylan responded to his crew-mate. "The Sith aren't a problem, Cylan," Illya scoffed, "Either they leave Taris with what they want or they take Taris under the Unification's banner. It's not like it's going to change anything. Hell, if they join, it'll be easier to travel. Taris is the only Republic world this far out that they DON'T own." She crossed her arms. "But you counting up your assets IS a problem. Securing assets we don't own? Escaping the system? Assuming we have the race in our pockets? Have you lost your mind?"

"True. But I'd like to see you try to take on one of the trained killers that they hire to pummel us in this race." Beezu would give an awkward smile and rub his head, trying to seem casual and just laugh off Illya's comment. It wasn't working. Have you lost your mind?" "We do our best to stay clear of the SU when we can help it," the black man voicing his opinion. "Our part of the galaxy is still predominantly Republic controlled, so you can imagine we don't run this sort of scenario very often." The man would finish by eyeing his Captain. "Don't mind him," Cylan said to Illya with a joyful tone, "He isn't the biggest fan of the Sith being that he was once a Colonel in the Republic Army." "But she's right, West," Cylan addressed the older black man, "We can get out of the Sith's way. It just won't be easy." Cylan would then pace and turn back to Illya. "Securing our winnings is always a priority for a Pirate, Ill. We can't rely on Apollo to do it for us. But I understand that we need to focus on the race. So let's-" The captain was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a frantic astromech droid entering the room. It buzzed and whirred and did circles around the crew. It seemed like an emergency. And that would seem the case, as Illya could see the others in the ship jumped to their feets and looked to their captain. Cylan would just vocalize what the droid had just said. "Apollo's security droids are outside..."

Do you always prefer the company of this many men or are you trying to just make a point? Especially when there's a fugitive on the loose." He shook his head in sarcasm, "I assumed a man of your station would have more sense than that."
