been gone for awhile. Come back after a few months to find EF is closed?! Never thought I'd see the day.. 'Specially when he was making all kinds of "improvements"(never cared for the new designs, much, myself), giving prizes for tournaments, and seemed to have generally taken a large interest in his site. A place he seemed to mostly ignore for years. Then, out of the blue, "Hey, I don't want to run this thing, anymore. Bye." -.- It is what it is, I guess. But damn.. Wish I'd come back, a bit sooner. Anyone else have trouble activating their account? I'm guessing it had something to do with my Vita. Tried over and over again, to get the activation code sent to my email, last night. And time and time again, nadda. Did it from the computer, and it worked the first time, so I can only assume that had to be the reason. Damn thing never did want to let me log into EF, so I'm not all that surprised. Nice to see whoever transferred over here, again. I'll be around, but probably not all that active. I've gone back to gaming, gaming, gaming, and for a change of pace, more gaming(  ), as of late. Loving my Vita/PSP/PS1/Indie machine. Currently working on Chrono Cross.  |

Rob!  Yeah, Fox was really going all out before the end, but then someone decided to hack the site in late July. EF was completely inaccessible for a few days and Fox had to rebuild his server from scratch. Wonder Woman's profile even ended up with some porn links. Long story short, a few days after EF came back online, Fox announced his retirement. I guess that hacking took the "fight" out of him.  Aw, well. Now here we are. |

And, yeah, a lot has happened since, I think roughly speaking the EF community or, the Magnetic Fox community as we are now called, are mainly just struggling with our identity, as of late.
Based on that fact, not much has gone down around here yet.

I can kinda see Treach's point, but I kind of like the idea, that if someone were to search for "ElectricFerret," once it no longer exists, this would come up. I may be in the minority, though. And that's a shame. Is this the only somewhat active site, that emerged from EF's closing? Landon made one, for the FPL, but it didn't seem very active, when I checked it out. :/ |

You, too, Merc. Though, you can catch me in the Facebook group, also.  And right now, if you search for "ElectricFerret" on Google, this is the second result, right after the official site. Maybe something with CBUB in it, if it needs changing? Just think it might help old regulars possibly stumble onto this place, if it's something like that. And I'd think with no more EF, there'd be a little more activity here. Unless there's more than one of these spinoff sites. But, trying to recapture the magic that was CBUB, will probably be a difficult task. Especially with the CBUB and FPL split apart, as a result. Feels like an older sibling moving out or something. |

Yeah, that's the thing though. My understanding of our situation is that we need to "publicize" our identity. Hence, we need to do something truly drastic and out there to do so. Something as crazy as what the Americans did in 1776, although under different circumstances. We do need ideas though, good ones, really, Viable ones, to make this happen. |

Heh. Yeah. And by the way, is the name already changed? Like can the web address be edited? That's what I thought we were talking about, but that shows how much I know about this internet stuff, if it isn't. :/ Whether or not, anyone will actually notice the second option, underneath the big EF, is beyond me.
