Return of Starfire Squadron?

Definitely a first. Oh, Pantheuria is the Pantheurian home world, though they live on other colonies too.  

Still working on the character sheets Merc, sorry it's coming so late. I'm at the final stretch of my undergraduate college career so I'm a little distracted. I'm cool if you guys start without me though if I can join in later.

Just to give you an idea, I'm going for two characters; one female that I've sort of based off Spider-Gwen's personality and one male that will be an Xyl. Possibly a pilot.

Can it wait til the weekend? I have an essay due Friday.

Bio: Born to a poverty-stricken family on Pantheuria, Dogar grew up the oldest child in a home with several siblings supported by a father who had chosen to earn his way using his back. Each morning, Dogar's father rose before the sun and returned from the mines after dark. He knew little of his mother other than that she was a Selurian--an uncommon mate to choose for a Pantheurian male. She'd died birthing him and he had had few chances to talk to his father about her in his time on Pantheuria. Because his father was getting on in his years and soon, Dogar knew, his father's physique would falter, Dogar joined the Planetary Alliance's military. His neighborhood had always been on the bad side and as a result, he'd learned how to fight from the school of hard knocks, so what he would have to do in the military was a much easier transition than if he'd been a pampered tom. He was a decent shot and an excellent CQC combatant, having claws, a prehensile tail, and a lifetime's experience.

He's generally a man of few words outside the odd snark or comment, and he'd rather walk away from a fight than start one. Without cutting an imposing figure, he found the best way to command respect was to play the strong and silent:

Speak softly and carry a big stick.

Weapon preference: Generally, a pistol in one hand and a Bowie in the other.

Bio: Stacy lived a pretty average life on Crake-VII. She had a father, a mother, and two older twin brothers. Unfortunately, tragedy struck her family as one of her brothers were killed during the end of the war. Stacy was still young then so she doesn't really remember much about what happened. It did affect her however, as she started to act out shortly after. As she grew up she also grew apart from her family. She spent more time with her friends and at the age of 13 they started a rock band together. For the better part of the next 3 years, Stacy lived her life with her band members and not her parents. She got involved with bad people and starting drinking behind her parent's backs. They tried to reach out to her, but the more they pushed, the more she pushed away. That was until a firefight with a Sh'ra remnant broke out at one of her concerts. The Sh'ra were killed in the crossfire, but so were her fellow band members.

Stacy didn't leave home for nearly a year after that event. She opened back up to her family and connected with them again. However, she could never escape the anger she felt toward the Sh'ra. Even though the war ended, innocent people were still dying. Stacy made a vow to herself to never let what happened to her friends, happen to anyone else. She decided that she'd train hard and join those that would protect civilians such as her family and friends. After years at the academy, Stacy joins the Starfire in hopes to make a difference.

Weapon preference: Standard issue pistol works fine for her, but she prefers something with a bit more kick to it such as a shotgun.

Callsign: Book - Valk was given this name both by his former squadron mates and his partners in the academy due to his frequent book reading. He always carried a book with him and would often be caught reading in-between missions.

Bio: Growing up, Valk never felt unique. There wasn't anything special about him, at least when compared to his six siblings. But Valk adapted early to his lifestyle and quickly realized he didn't desire praise from his parents as much as his siblings did. Instead of fighting for attention, Valk would study. This included every book in the house and since his parents were pilots, this meant those aircraft manuals went first. Valk would eventually get books of his own and read many different genres of fiction. For awhile he was really into 'What If' stories that included: If The Stars Went Black and What If Our Enemy Is The Good Guy? He moved on from those and found other interests in adventure novels set in space and Xyl Romance/Dramas. Today, Valk is on a particular kick of Military fiction. Might have something to do with his job as a pilot...

But anyway, Valk and his siblings were lucky enough not to lose a parent in the war. Because of this, Valk's family didn't think much of dangers of enlisting in the Military. He, along with his siblings, were encouraged heavily by the parents to enlist and serve in anyway they could. This push would eventually make 5 out of the 7 children enlist. And since Valk was picky about his placement (and didn't want to serve alongside his siblings), he chose the path of a pilot.


Weapon preference: No preference with any particular gun or blade but can be picky about what he flies.
