Okay, you guys have just got to check this out! Back in a long forgotten, alien era known as the early 1990s, one charitable organisation that still continues to exist to this date decided to team up with Fleetway Publications to create a comic book to help their cause. But this wasn't just any comic book. This was... *ahem*... The Totally Stonking, Surprisingly Educational and Utterly Mind-Boggling Comic Relief Comic. Yeah. For the sake of simplicity, let's all just call it 'the Comic Relief Comic'.

This comic was insane. Due to the sheer amount of characters owned by different companies that show up, this will likely never be rereleased. Despite the cast, a fraction of which I will list below, this is incredibly obscure. Barely anyone seems to even knows of its existence due to the lack of info on it, even though a number of big names such as Neil Gaiman worked on it.
So yeah, here are just a few of the characters and celebrities that I could recognise. There are quite a few that I really have no clue about.
Superman
Spider-Man
Judge Dredd
Wonder Woman
The Hulk
Brian Braddock, also known as Captain Britain
The first seven incarnations of The Doctor
Dan Dare and his batman Digby
Blackadder
Bruce Forsyth
Sid James and Barbara Windsor
Roger Mellie (Viz)
Lenny Henry
Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo and Master Splinter
Dennis the Menace (The British version)
Desperate Dan
The Bash Street Kids
Bart and Lisa Simpson
It really is incredible that they managed to get all of these characters together. What is quite cool is the fact that it's not all that unlikely that another crossover of this magnitude could be made again. Projects like Lego Dimensions are already bringing many, many different franchises together for a crossover tale, but obviously, in that, all of the characters are in their comical and parodic Lego incarnations.
There are only a few websites on the Internet that give any sort of information on this comic. Certain aspects, like just how Comic Relief managed to convince DC, Marvel and Fleetway to allow their characters to appear on the same page together, are still a mystery to me.
It just begs for a sequel, but with an even more outrageous and Mis-matched cast of characters. If that ever happens, I hope it isn't just forgotten like the original.
