The Warden
Lady Miras
"Greetings Lady Miras" the old man who spoke slightly bowed his head as he greeted the even older lady as she approached him garbed in an inky black dress "We have everything prepared for the journey."
"Journey?" snapped Miras her voice soaring towards the radiant stars "I requested a direct portal not some trek through Lovecraft Park, Patrick!"
Unfazed by her outburst, Patrick rubbed his dry hands together as he replied to the old witch who stood before him "Well my lady; that would be quite impossible unless one was given permission to do so.'
"Permission?" interrupted Lady Miras, anger dripping from her tongue "You know who I am warlock! There is no authority higher than mine within Little Lovecraft!"
"That may be so my lady; where we are going however, is Terra Lovecraft. An older and much more potent realm. Not even you hold sway over that land.....Not yet."
A Few Hours Later
Before the two decrepit figures stood two gargantuan trees guarding an expansive forest that radiated with arcane energy.
"Before you My Lady, is the ancient forest known as Terra Lovcraft, the land from which Little Lovecraft and many other bastions of magic and enigma sprung from and are connected to." he paused and looked into the ravenous eyes of Lady Miras "Who ever rules this land will gain unknown authority."
Lady Miras smiled and began to step forward "Then let us go Patrick, let us conquer." she paused and turned to Patrick. He hadn't moved to follow Miras and instead held his ground "What are you doing Patrick?"
"I dare not trespass on the Warden's domain Lady Miras, lest he kill me. I will wait here while you finish your task."
"And what task is that pray tell?" replied a vibrant and imposing voice. "What brings the two impertinent children to my gate? Death or madness?"
Lady Miras' eyes blazed with anger as the disrespectful greeting sank into her soul. Her hands began to glow and from her lips came words coated with venom "You dare insult me you worm, come, let me show you how to address a queen."
