In this fiction, I'm going to be putting together several different series with megacorporations as well as use their inventions. Several other series, such as Mortal Kombat, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Hellraiser will also have chapters to themselves (as well as crossing over with all the other series, you know the deal). The title is still tentative, in fact, the Doc I have this on is called "Fucked-Up Tomorrowland" because of reasons detailed in the first chapter, or perhaps I'll make it the prologue.
This is merely the explanation of the first chapter (or prologue, like I said), mashing up several different fictions.
Current plotline: Bruce Wayne, in an attempt to a) take care of the villains he's put away as Batman and b) keep a close eye on potentially dangerous competitors and their inventions, has collected the heads of multinational corporations to propose a testing ground, or rather, four testing grounds, found in the same locations as Arkham City, Gunnison, Colorado, the remnants of Raccoon City (which is only the lower levels of the Hive now, but only Umbrella and perhaps Bruce know that), and Archipelago Muertes from Jurassic Park (the chain of five islands where the first three Jurassic Parks set their stage). An additional location may be added with the release of Jurassic World in a few days. I'm not sure. If there is one, I'll edit it into the first chapter and those subsequent, assuming it's not another or the same island as the first trilogy in Archipelago Muertes. Point being, Bruce Wayne puts all lifer prisoners in these four areas surrounded by a semipermeable force field he developed specifically for this purpose (but no doubt he'll incorporate it into one of his Batsuits); all prisoners serving life without possibility parole in the United States will be candidates for this such program.
Series used:
Arkham Asylum series of games-- that version of Batman and Gotham: Wayne Enterprises
The first two Iron Man films: Stark Industries
Resident Evil: Umbrella
Jurassic Park: InGen Technologies
Alien(s) vs Predator(s) (they don't become Weyland-Yutani Corps until sometime in the 2030s if I recall correctly, where Weyland Corps wins a rights battle over David, the first android): Weyland and Yutani Corporations
Robocop, new and old; I'll be drawing a bit from both but mostly new as old only had a few viable robots for the fic: Omni Consumer Products
Terminator; may also change with the release of Terminator: Genisys in a little while. Again, not entirely sure: Cyber Dynamics Systems Corporation
Friday the 13th
Mortal Kombat
Hellraiser
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Gargoyles: Xanatos Enterprises, Nightstone Unlimited, Cyberbiotics
Underworld: Antigen
King Kong continuation based on the sinking of the island at the end of Son of Kong (1933)
Planet of the Apes (most recent two movies): Gen-Sys
I, Frankenstein
Van Helsing
Until Dawn
Hellboy
Others if I choose.
I'm completely open to suggestions as to companies whose products I could use in this fic. If you have one, list it below and if I know the material well enough or can do enough research before it gets too far into the story, I'll try to include it.
The parameters for that are:
1. They must have a material product that can affect the inmates or other inventions within the Hotspots, e.g. dinosaurs from InGen (which are actually already on the islands mentioned, as this takes place after the events of all three Jurassic Park films), the T-Virus zombies from Umbrella, the cyborgs from Weyland and Yutani (iirc, these are some enemies in Concrete Jungle).
2. They must have the funds to contribute five billion dollars one time to Wayne Enterprises so Bruce can arrange for their products to be used in his Hotspots.
3. They must not be ridiculously overpowered, e.g. I'm not including any characters from Marvel or DC that can contend with the likes of Superman or Thor because then it would bore me. Basically, don't recommend me anyone with powers, or who aren't based on or spend most of their time on Earth. This is why I'm not using Star Wars. Actually, it's one half of why I'm not using anything from Star Wars.
4. They must have operations basing in the turn of the 20th-to-21st centuries. If they are operative around 2000, which is when I'm having the deal first struck, and they have the funds as mentioned, they could be fair game.
5. All decisions as to whom or what I include are mine and mine alone. If I decide not to include your suggestion even if it is viable, don't get pissy. I probably just didn't want to work it in.
