CREATION OF ULTRON (MOVIE VS COMIC)
So far from everything I can tell, Ultron will have been created by Tony Stark in the new Avengers movie. In comics he was created by Hank Pym.
Originally he was created by Pym for a simple science experiment. No one had attempted. Pym set out to make a completely sentient AI. Unfortunately for Pym, Ultron became more than sentient and brainwashed Pym into forgetting he had ever created Ultron. Ultron then set out to fix the human condition and used various guises and plans in order to achieve this.
I am assuming the same goes for Tony as far as Ultron wanting to get rid of humans. While the Marvel cinematic universe has already proven to have its differences from the comics, why change who creates Ultron just for the sake of the movie when Pym is to have his own movie later this year. It would perfectly tie him into the Avengers universe and create the animosity that has existed between Pym and Stark in the comics.
While many things throughout a characters story has an impact on the character itself, creating Ultron was a big part of Pym's overall story.
Below let me know what you think of the change from comics to movies. Also share why you think it was a good or bad idea and what you would have maybe done differently.

Keeping Ultron's origin pure would have been too much for the movieverse. I'm fine with what they are going to do. Ultron is probably the Avengers' coolest villain. At least they won't ruin him like they did Mandarin.

In the film universe they already estabished Tony is the guy who does all the tech, always wanting to upgrade, was always about the mission, and more. He is more fitted actually in a way to be responsible for Ultron. Being that this film leads into Civil War it will make his turn from hero to the opposing side where people hate him even better and way more fun. Story wise its brilliant. Joss after his last run here will have set the Marvel Film Universe up perfectly for future films.

I totally agree with the way Marvel has set up the movies, this could be awesome. Just why make an ant man movie if he doesn't create Ultron? That would be a perfect way to tie him to the Avengers.

The Ant-Man film is mostly going to be about Scott Lang, the second bearer of the superhero mantle, while Pym will supposedly make appearances as well, possibly making it the first superhero film to feature two bearers of one superhero mantle. Besides, even if it was entirely about Hank Pym, there is more to the character than just being the guy who made Ultron.

The Ant-Man prequel comic showed interesting details about the connection between Hank Pym and Agent Carter. For all we know Pym and Scott could show up in Age of Ultron as a cameo like Carter did in Winter Soldier. Whedon did say we would see others in this sequel. Maybe that is a hidden surprise. I feel like with this film something big or a nice surprise will happen in the film.
