I would be willing to start a brand new season draft thing if any of you guys are interested, but with some new bells and whistles added.
First of all, the equal match button would be gone, because let's face it, it was a pretty pointless addition that didn't really make a lot of sense (what fun is there in making the two fighters exactly the same?)
Second of all, a completely new selection of arenas would be introduced, but all of them would be based on famous locations from popular fiction.
Any and all characters in BOTH of the databases would be allowed, except for entire universes. That's right! Characters from the CBUB database and characters from INC can collide! Obviously, this would all be completely non-canon to the INC canon.
Any character profile with the word universe in its title wouldn't be allowed in, because gauging the entire power level of an entire universe is a bit, you know, impossible.
Now... Here is the new mechanic. It's called...
THE SUMMONING OF ZERO
Basically, if a character you choose looks like it has no chance in hell of winning in a match, then why not summon a character outside of the CBUB database to assist your character for one match. After that, you can't use it anymore, so you should use it wisely! This mechanic gets its name from Test Character Zero from the old Electric Ferret, who would be used to represent characters not yet added in the database, much like how the Prototype Profile is used on this site. You could even summon old FPL characters if you'd like.
You can only use The Summoning of Zero if your character is losing in the voting department. Also, the rules regarding whole universes being used still stands. You can't just summon the entire DC universe to help Silva beat Thor, for example.
Its kind of like in the first Marvel VS Capcom game where you could summon characters that aren't playable to help out your player character.
So say there was a match between Superman and Chun-Li, for example, and everyone understandably votes for Superman. The person who chose Chun-Li in the initial season draft could then summon someone like Mad Jim Jaspers to help Chun-Li fight Superman (I don't know if Jaspers is actually in the database or not. It's just an example).
