Background
The air vibrated with cheers and whistles beneath the night sky of Janus Valley. The source of the cheers; Styx Colosseum. The cause, a man dressed in a brown suit, sunglasses. In his hand was a cane ending in a stylized microphone.

"Welcome denizens of Janus Valley!!!" the crowd exploded with fervor "Most of you know who I am; but to those who don't." the lights dimmed highlighting the spotlight that beamed down on the announcer "I am the Emcee of Mayhem! The Announcer of Anarchy! The Sentry of The Colosseum! I! Am! Gaspar 'Gatling' Beoir!!"

With every accolade announced the spectators grew wilder and wilder. Men roared, women screamed, children waved posters with Gaspar's face on them. The only area devoid of excitement was an elevated platform where two men sat surrounded by guards, suited assistants and servers; between them sat an empty throne.

Gaspar turned in the direction of the two men and gestured two them "And lets not forget our honored guest; Champion of the Colosseum, Julius The Defiler!" more applause swelled as a tall, slim, red haired man raised a hand holding a glass of wine "And my oldest friend, 'Prince of the Valley, sponsor of tonight's festivities; Virgil Nergal, president of Orcus Inc.!" A raven haired young man stood up surrounded by applause and then sat down."

"With that out the way, lets get this party STARTED!!!!"


Personality
Gaspar spun his staff and then vanished from the Colosseum floor. A second later he reappeared sitting in the empty seat between Virgil and Julius. Shortly after, a bell tolled and the fights began. As the competitors pummeled each other amidst the cheers and jeers of the crowd, the three men sitting above them all were deep in conversation.

"So the rumors are true then? A survivor of the Tengoku Southern Monastery is here tonight?" asked Julius beneath his mane of scarlet hair, in his calm, smooth voice.

Gaspar poured whiskey into a glass and scoffed "Yes, it's true. But what are you worrying about Julius? You're the champion; the only way he can get to you is by fighting and beating a contender."

"And what if he does?" chuckled Virgil, his eyes focused on the current match.

"Impossible. I sent them all away on a battle tour." replied Gaspar "Speaking of the survivor. He's up right now."

Down on the floor of the Colosseum, a muscular man dressed in grey pants and a white cloth wrapped around his head walked out. He glanced up at the three men and snarled. Soon after another muscular man stepped out and after the ringing of a bell, ran towards the survivor. Without moving his eyes the survivor dodged the attack, wrapped his arm around his attackers necked and snapped it with one movement. "You're next Defiler! I will break your back on the agony of hundred dead monks.!"

The crowd exploded with cheers quaking the ground and air with their collective chant "Defiler! Defiler! Defiler!"

The two men sitting at Gaspar's sides turned their eyes towards him in amusement. Gaspar smirked in response and stood up, taking his mic and placing it near his mouth "So you want to see our champion fight do you?" the crowd roared "So would I. Unfortunately only contenders can fight the champion." Boos and hisses assaulted Gaspar "I know, I know; and to make it worst no contenders are here tonight." Gaspar straightened his tie raised his hand and licked his lips as the boos reached an apex "Ahhh! I just remembered something. There is one other way he could fight the Defiler." Silence fell "He could try his chances against me!!!"

The silence was torn to shreds at the announcement. Julius and Virgil applauded and chuckled, the spectators had let go of all restraint and devolved into a mass of jubilation.

"So be it!" Gaspar vanished from his spot and reappeared in the Colosseum "Are you ready?" he hissed as he threw his coat in the air which then vanished and reappeared in his chair. Gaspar's eyes wrapped themselves around the warriors muscular physique increasing the intensity of his excited face "Cause' I am. Now tell me, what name is going on your tombstone?"

"Tanaka of the Kitsunebi Fist." replied the warrior "And I know who you are, Gaspar of the Trimurti Temple. Your skill in Vishnu's Ten Forms is well known; but it will not help you now." Tanaka darted from his spot with blurring speed using the momentum to strike at Gaspar with a kick to the chest.

Without hesitation Gaspar leapt away from the attack and landed several feet away from his attacker. Tanaka turned to see Gaspar standing on one foot with his other leg positioned to his side while his hands were held in front of him. Tanaka attacked Gaspar again with a flurry of kicks only to be dodged by Gaspar's lithe movements. Evey strike sent at Gaspar hit air as he moved in graceful steps maneuvers. The fight between the two men seemed to be more of a dance between opposing spirits than a battle. Tanaka's intense face contrasting the calm almost oblivious face of Gaspar.

Gaspar continued to bend and weave around Tanaka's attacks until he brought his lips inches away from his ear and whispered "You're going to have try harder if you want to touch my body Tanaka."

With furious speed Tanaka feigned a kick and replaced it with a punch. Gaspar watched as the combatants attack sliced through air and approached his face. Without hesitation he crouched down and spun only to be met with a knee that was centimeters away from his chest. In one movement, Gaspar caught the attack with his hands and pulled Tanaka to the ground "Almost. But I'm very good at playing hard to get."

Suddenly Tanaka's fists erupted into flames that matched the rage in his hazel eyes "I've had enough!" he stood up and began to punch the air sending fist shaped balls of fire at Gaspar.

Gaspar dodged each burst of energy deftly until Tanaka's fists increased with speed sending a barrage of fire at Gaspar. When the smoked cleared Gaspar was no longer there but instead stood behind Tanaka. As if signaled by an invisible gaurdian Tanaka spun around and hit Gaspar's arms that had managed to protect his chest.

"I see." coughed Tanaka as he watched Gaspar slide back. "It takes quite a bit of energy for you to teleport doesn't it?"

The ground rumbled beneath the crowds roars but the fighters in the Colosseum were obvious to their glee. Gaspar's face was split in two by the snow white teeth of the wild smile that grew on his face "Good. I like it when brains and brawns come in one package." Gaspar lifted one of his legs stretched out one of his arms in front of him "Come. Dance with me." he vanished a blur of movement and stuck Tanaka with a kick before he could react. Tanaka flew backwards but before he could find his footing Gaspar appeared behind him and struck him in the back with an elaborate kick.

"Come on!" roared Gaspar as he continued to assault Tanaka "I thought you liked it rough!" he descended upon Tanaka with an elbow drop "I'm disappointed!"

Before the strike could land Tanaka unleashed a blast of fire from his hands that launched Gaspar into the air. Two more blast were unleashed but were dodged by Gaspars fluid movements.

"That's better. It's only fun when you fight back."

A flurry of fist shaped bursts of fire flew towards Gaspar as he fluttered around the arena laughing and taunting Tanaka "No wonder the Defiler was able to destroy your Temple. Your techniques are pathetic!"

As those words slid into Tanaka's mind a bolt of rage surged through his body. He struck the air with a furious series of kicks that sent wave after wave of fire and heat at Gaspar. At the sight of the onslaught of flames Gaspar stopped in his tracks and frowned "Now that's a little much." he watched the walls of fire approach him and closed his eyes. Then, in an instant, he released an almost invisible punch. A moment later hundreds of blue fists filled the space between the flames and Gaspar. The ground shook as the forces collided and as the smoke cleared, the image of Gaspar standing with his foot on Tanaka's chest could be seen.

Gaspar chuckled as he looked down at Tanaka "You lose." Tanaka respond with a ball of spit that Gaspar dodged "A spitter huh?" he raised a fist and behind him a dozen blue fist appeared "I guess I'll have to teach you to swallow."
