Flash Thompson aka Venom: February's Character of the Month

Welcome to Magnetic Fox’s very first character of the Month page. Through your votes Flash Thompson more popularly known as Agent Venom has been chosen. Over the course of this Month we will highlight some of the great things about this character.





Eugene ‘Flash’ Thompson was first introduced to us in Amazing Fantasy #15. He attended Midtown High School and was seen routinely bullying Peter Parker. After Peter Parker became Spiderman it was ironic that Flash would bully him considering he was a major supporter of Spiderman. Not knowing they were one in the same, Flash continued to have a rivalry with Peter for years. After graduating High School he attended college with Peter as well. It was there that he and Peter became friend due to a mutual friend in Gwen Stacy. During his stint in college Flash decided to join the military. He served in the Army while being stationed in South East Asia. After spending some time there he finally returned home and while home he became the gym teacher for his old High School. Due to the attacks on the United States on 9/11, Flash decided to reenlist with the military. During his tour of duty he had an unfortunate accident. While trying to save his fellow soldiers he lost both of his legs. Due to the injury he was returned to the United States. After returning he began to date someone new named Betty Brant.






While back stateside he was approached by the military to take place in what they were calling Project Rebirth 2.0. The experiment consisted of bonding the symbiote to Flash. The US military had acquired it from Mac Gargan after arresting him following the Siege of Asgard. When the symbiote was bonded to Flash it formed artificial legs and gave him power comparable to Spiderman. With these new abilities plus his military training, he became a super weapon for the military to use in action. The symbiote gave Flash the following…

He is also a skilled marksman and hand to hand fighter due to his military training.

Flash originally was only able to use the symbiote for 48hrs at a time.  Any longer than that and the symbiote would be permanently bonded to him.  After awhile that no longer became and issue due to being stranded in the field and having no choice.  Now after recent events Flash and the symbiote share a good standing and work extremely well together.
