Sir Crocodile
Sir Crocodile, a.k.a. Mr. 0, (サー・クロコダイル Sā Kurokodairu?) is one of the major antagonists in the anime and manga One Piece, and is also its longest-running antagonist. He was the president of a secret crime organization called Baroque Works and was a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea [called the "Shichibukai" (七武海, Seven Military Seas) in the Japanese versions]. He is voiced in Japanese by Ryūzaburō Ōtomo and in English by Michael Alston Baley (4Kids) and John Swasey (Funimation).
Sir Crocodile is the former president of the mysterious criminal syndicate, Baroque Works, and the main antagonist of the Alabasta Saga. He is one of the longest running, primary adversaries of the series, as well as the first enemy to hand Monkey D. Luffy, the main proagonist, a complete and utter defeat. He was originally introduced as a Shichibukai, but later was stripped of his title after attempting to take control of the desert kingdom, Alabasta.
Thanks to Luffy, he managed to escape from Impel Down and went to Marineford to participate in the war, after that, he and Daz Bones decided to head out to the New World.
Crocodile is a tall man with a wide chest, broad shoulders, muscular arms and legs, and a thick neck. He has pale skin and nape-length, black hair (dark purple in the anime) which is kept neatly slicked back, though strands tend to fall in front of his face during battles. Crocodile has various battle wounds, most notably a long stitched scar above his nose that stretches across his face, as well as a missing left hand, which has been replaced with a large hook made from a tough gold alloy. He has deep set drooping eyes, framed by many wrinkles, and thin eyebrows that appear to be in a perpetual 'sad' position. Crocodile speaks with a deep, relaxed voice, and he is usually seen smoking a thick, buck cigar produced by his company.
His theme of dress is meant to convey the image of an Italian mafia boss. In his original appearance, Crocodile wore a bright orange, black-striped button up vest over a long-sleeve peach shirt, a blue scarf, dark brown suit pants and polished black shoes with gold buckles. He also wore a long, thick, dark pelted fur coat (full dark green in manga and One Piece: Pirate Warriors, dark gray with a regular gray fur trim in anime, and a dark shade green with a light shade green fur trim in Movie 8) on his shoulders.
