Gentlemen, you have all been brought here because you have proven yourselves survivors. What is left of the world is in shambles. We are here on an aircraft carrier that is one of three left in service for the U.S. The one we are on is the most well equipped to still handle military actions but that is not saying much. The mainland is overrun with the monstrosities that have come upon this world. For lack of a better we have taken to calling them zombies. As you know, you die and you come back as one of them. You get bit you die and become one of them. Some of these abominations are faster and smarter than others. About one out of every ten are that way. The only sure way to kill them is to destroy the brain. Unfortunately we have heard reports of something else. Some kind of undead mutations. So far its just been vague reports of animal like things but that could just be terrified civilians. We are not the only ones still alive. There are survivors but not all of them are the kind of people you want to hang around with.
With all of that in mind, lets get down to business shall we? We have recently gained intel from our scientists that report that they know where the outbreak occurred. Through satelite comms they were able to get in touch with scientists from South America before they went dark. Supposedly a group of archeologists had gone deep into the rain forest. They stopped there work because several of them fell ill. When they returned they were taken to the local hospital and quaratined because no one could find out what was making them sick. While at the hospital one of the men died. From there is where things get hectic. Things went haywire. Knowing how quick someone that dies comes back (less than a minute) you can imagine the chaos. One of the original people infected was taken to a research facility close Eduardo Gomes International Airport in Manaus, Brazil. We are going to have you come in on the east side of the city by water. The research facility is just on the other side of Hwy AM-010. The distance from the drop point to the research lab is 18km. If you can secure a vehicle it would be optimal but the chances are unlikely.
Men, we are limited on fuel for the choppers. That is why we are going in by water, but we need you to secure patient zero and activate a homing beacon when you have secured the target and are ready for evac. You have access to all weapons we have onboard. Your mission begins at 0300. Before you leave does anyone have any questions?
