Telltale are undoubtably the best of the best when it comes to making video game adaptations of famous series. Well, they can't really be called true adaptations (more like continuations) because their games almost always take place in the same continuity as the source material and are thus 100% canon, which is awesome and rarely done nowadays.
So it's no surprise that people are always begging them tell tales to make new continuations of their favourite fictons. What are your suggestions?
Also, here's a rough list of all the franchises Telltale have already or are about to continue in their episodic adventures. Fables The Walking Dead Back to the Future The cartoons of Graham Anable Jurassic Park Sam and Max Law and Order CSI Borderlands Game of Thrones Wallace and Gromit Homestar Runner Monkey Island

Here are the franchises I would like to see turned into a game:
The Beano/The Dandy
These two classic British comics (both owned by the same company) have entertained people for generations with their surreal humour, unique characters and general Britishness. My favourite comic story was called The Reservoir Dodge, which has Roger the Dodger and several other Beano characters team up to scam Baby Face Finlayson. The game could have Baby Face return to exact revenge by destroying Beanotown by sealing it in a giant dome. Roger would then have to call upon the help of the Dandytown citizens in order to save his home.
Team Fortress
Team Fortress's story is mainly conveyed through their online comics, but the games themselves have literally no story whatsoever. This must change. The story could start with the BLU Demoman and Engineer drunkenly ambling through the badlands when they are teleported by Merasmus back in time to 1850, where they meet the original BLU team.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Since Alan Moore wants his comic book continuity left alone, Telltale would have to adapt the movie incarnations instead. The story could have Quartermain return from the grave only to find the rest of the League mysteriously killed on the way back to Britain. Quartermain would have to discover the source of the threat that killed them and form his own League of public domain characters.

If Telltale did a Star Wars video game, I would flip my shit! The devs are apparently incredibly enthusiastic about making a Star Wars game someday, but it's very unlikely right now. But what could the story be? Any video games are considered non canon to the film continuity now (dumb Disney decision is dumb), so it would have to take place in the Legends canon. It would most likely star an original character though. Most original Star Wars games do.

Um... Is that meant to be a witty gif or something?

Your "original character." A Spaceballs game could be humorous, though. Since they've already done most of my childhood favorites, and Star Wars was already mentioned, maybe TMNT? Has there been a good Turtles game, since the one on the SNES? Wish I could have bought the remake of that one, before the license expired.. Scooby-Doo might fit the point-and-click mold, fairly well, too.

Those are good ideas! I think Scoob has appeared in a few sub par point n clicks in the past, but Telltale would easily fix that. TMNT would be a great fit too.
Anyway, more ideas!..
King Kong. I don't care what they do with it story wise. I just really want to see Telltale's take on the Kong mythos. I know it's unlikely, but the basic formula for my Kong Quest RP could be the outline of the story, except without all the crossover characters.
Horrible Histories. Based on the TV show, you could play as Rattus Rattus and the fictionalised version of Larry Lamb and go on a quest through time to stop Rattus Rattus's evil brother or something. It could be really funny, but also could also be educational, like the TV series.
Street Fighter. The story could take place after Street Fighter 3 and have an original character go around and meet up with various other World Warriors to learn more skills.

They should do a slasher type game in addition to doing Walking Dead where your victoms being hunted down by a slasher like Michael Myers or a Ghostface type character. Another idea is a alien invasion type game. Your decisons could be to keep going through underground throughout a state and avoid alien attacks or you could start a resistance to take the fight to them. Basically a Falling Skies type of situation.

Telltale had two good games in recent memory: TWD and Wolf Among Us. The gameplay of those two games lends itself to a certain kind of genre, it has to focus on the story. So TWD was great, they can tailor make their original IP of Wolf to match that kind of genre. Game of Thrones is all about story. But Star Wars? I don't know. If I'm playing a Star Wars game, give me something like Force Unleashed any day over what Telltale might be able to give me. Borderlands might be interesting, but I'm definitely buying The Pre-Sequel before the Telltale game.

Personally, I'd rather have a KOTOR 3.
From recently playing Danganronpa and remembering Phoenix Wright, a more mature crime solver, would be cool, as well. Can't really think of anything, off the top of my head, but that's why I felt Scooby-Doo might be a good fit. Point and click worked real well, for the two I just mentioned.

Preacher. Y the Last Man. Transmetropolitan. Hellboy. Invincible could be neat if they could make the fights look good.
OH, Judge Dredd would be perfect. There's so much room to insert offscreen stories starring Dredd himself, or Anderson (for a change of pace to give us an adult female protagonist in a Telltale game), or even just make an original Judge. I'd flip my shit. The setting of Mega-City One (and presumably a buildup to a foray into the Cursed Earth) lends itself to a TWD/TWAU-styled game, and they could really toy around with the ethics dispute over whether what the Judges do is right or not and make that the focal point of the game's moral decisions.
It's perfect. Dredd4TelltaleGame2014!
EDIT: My avatar reminded me. They haven't touched anime or manga yet, but if they ever did Death Note would be freaking PERFECT. An alternate spin on Light's story or an original character who comes into possession of a Notebook, game is about how you use it with L himself or an expy on your case. Boom. Sells itself.

Invincible would be fucking terrible. Absolutely awful idea. Y: The Last Man would actually be pretty fantastic I think. Haven't read any Preacher, Transmet, or Hellboy though.

Actually a Star Wars game would be great if your playing as a Han Solo and the gameplay is just like Walking Dead and Wolfs Among Us.
