For those of you who don't know, the Fatal Claw is a hyper combo move in Marvel vs Capcom 3 where he leaps in the air and discharges some form of energy from his hands and feet.
It's a great move and all, and it looks pretty cool too, but where the hell does it come from? Can Logan do it in the Marvel canon? This has confused me to no end.
I initially thought he was discharging all the electricity he had conducted over the years in his adamantium skeleton, but I've never seen him use it to create a freakin purple energy beam! Other people have said that he is actually creating a sonic boom or something, which makes even less sense cause he's completely still in midair.
Of course, you could say that the purple stuff is just a visual effect and that he's just doing a single slash really fast that causes multiple hits, like in one of Gen's super combos.
Put it this way, if Wolverine really can generate electrical energy from his body, then I think that factor might affect a few Electric Ferret/Magnetic Fox matches we've staged over the years.

It's probably just artistic license taken for the video games, and not an actual thing, since nowhere in the comics is it even hinted that he can generate electricity or project energy or whatever.
