Here's the basic plot. Six nerds from any corner of fiction meet up to play Dungeons and Dragons and some other games, but their little hideout (some shed in the woods) is then destroyed by evil superpowered aliens who had kidnapped all of Earth's heroes, including Superman, Thor, Goku, and many more. Their hyper advanced technology allowed them to nullify the heroes' powers. Their objective is to use the heroes to destroy all life in the universe.
The nerds barely escape with their lives as they find a door that leads to a dark dungeon-like place. There, they find a mysterious gold-clad silver-skinned being who promises to give them the power to destroy the invaders and return to Earth among the superheroes of old.
The nerds are given power armour and many futuristic weapons and a ship that can take them To the alien's homeworld.
The majority of the RP will focus on the nerds all learning to work together while floating around in deep space and occasionally fighting off other aliens who wish to do them harm.
A degree in nerd and pop culture is needed if you want to join the RP, which should be obvious.
This thread will show the list of players and their chosen characters. This time around I will only play as NPC characters and will let you guys go nuts.
The characters should often make funny commentary on their ludicrous situation, which should be a given.
And by nerd I mean a person with a great knowledge of pop culture who is also socially awkward, like Sheldon Cooper or the Nerd from Robot Chicken. If you're interested, feel free to join in as a character of your choice who fits the guidelines.
