All these guys have metal armor and or weapons. But there's a lot of them. I don't think Magneto can handle the numbers.

There's gotta be like 100 of these guys. Magneto's shields can't hold up forever. Especially considering the punishment it's going to take from all those blasters.

When he went to pick up Maggot, he simultaneously killed everyone in a large group of soldiers, by manipulating their blood causing their heads to explode.
This particular Magneto is more powerful than he was at that point.
As for his shields, they have stood up to both Galactus, and Thor throwing Mjolnir at them. Unless the individual blasters pack one hell of a punch, their numbers isn't going to change anything.

Yeah Magneto in his prime could stand there all day with his forefield intact while at the same time ripping them apart. He has various abilities and multiple ways to kill most of them pretty fast.
