Caesar
Because of his mother's involvement with ALZ-112 trials at Gen-Sys Laboratories, Caesar was genetically altered by accident.
After Bright Eyes' death, Caesar became the adoptive son of scientist Will Rodman and later Caroline Aranha.
Through Will, Caesar was the adoptive grandson of Charles Rodman.
After biting the family neighbor, Caesar was sent to live at the San Bruno Primate Shelter.
It was here that he met Maurice, Rocket, Cornelia and Buck.
After escaping the shelter, Caesar led a rebellion of apes through San Francisco to the sanctuary of the Muir Woods Park.
Later in life, Caesar takes a wife and queen in Cornelia and with her, fathers a son and heir, River and an infant child.
He is the ape counterpart of Malcolm after the rediscovery of humans.
