Man I wish these teams were reversed! Snake Eyes and Black Panther! It would have been over!
Prometheus won't have Panther's skills programmed in his helmet so he won't have any real advantage. Panther will figure him out pretty quickly too, especially if Prometheus tackles Killer Crock first. Snake Eyes will be very difficult but I think Panther has superior weapons with the Wakandan technology (and mysicism).
And Killer Crock is very powerful. I don't think Snake Eyes has anything normally that would would hurt him.

Panther and Croc make short work of Team 1. That's a great team that was put together. With no comic mechanics in the way Snake has nothing on him that can hurt Croc and isn't strong enough to knock him out. Panther can definitely take down Prometheus while Croc who has fought Batman eventually beats Snake. Croc has plenty of nice things to smash and throw at Snake to keep him busy. Once Panther is done with the other if Croc needs help then they take down Snake . Snake's only real advantage is speed but that isn't much help here.

I think Prometheus is being highly underrated here.
Prometheus has beaten teams of meta humans alone. He is as skilled as the most skilled martial artists in DC thanks to his download capabilities.
Granted he had some prep he dispatched Batman on there first meeting in minutes. His suit also puts of strobes that can inhibit brain functions of his opponents.
As far as snakeyes goes, he has defeated people bigger, tougher, stronger, and most definitely smarter than Croc.

No he isn't being underrated. He beat the Justice League only because he had prep and knew everything about them. He knows nothing about Panther or Croc. Like Leroy said Panther has superior tech, weapons, and magic he uses. Also who did Snake Eyes beat that was actually on a superhuman level strength and durability wise with Killer Croc? Snake has nothing that can hurt Croc weapon wise and doesn't have the strength to take him out.

Snake has beaten stars scream.
Panther works best on prep as well. He has nothing to compare Prometheus too. Prometheus can use similar tactics that he used on batman

I remember Snake Eyes slicing Laserbeak's head off but I don't remember him even in the same panel as Starscream. He also did some ninjistu Jedi mind trick thing on two Decepticons and made them release him and other capture Joes. But none of that helps really shows that he can beat Croc.
And after his first appearance, Prometheus really didn't do anything ever again. He would give Panther trouble but he wouldn't beat him.

None of that will help him here. He did all of that with a great deal of time and prep. You said most current versions so that GI Joe and Transformers is non-canon. Who has Snake beaten that was on Killer Croc's level? Snake has no explosives to help him take down Croc. Keep in mind Killer Croc has a healing factor and superhuman durability in addition to his other abilities. Prometheus only beat Batman because he downloaded his skills and other people. He gained access to the JLA Watchtower and had previous knowledge. None of that helped him when Green Arrow ambushed and kill him in the series after Cry for Justice.
Also your forgetting Black Panther is on a superhuman level physically because of the Panther goddess. He has cloaking, a teleportation device, and much more.

I see Panther as the main threat. Waylon Jones is not very smart. Snake Eyes sword his sharp enough to cut through metal so Waylon's hide is less durable than steel. His inner anatomy is still human. His joints and such are still similar to humans. Snakeyes strikes and attacks can still be effective but he would have to use more force than he normally does. Gauging eyes, slitting his throat, cutting tendons, etc; anything that could incapacitate Waylon would be enough to get the win. Snake could do all this and if it didnt work, get away due to his speed before Croc can grab hold of him.

Ah okay now that is a good way Snake could win. However by the time Snake gets done with Croc which won't be a short fight his partner Panther will have finished off Prometheus. Panther can then help Croc out with Snake and Panther is superior to Snake Eyes.

That I can agree with. It would have to be Snake eyes and Prometheus against Panther in a 2 on 1 for them to have a chance.
