Game of Thrones didn't get stellar reviews, either, but I thought that was dope. Batman will probably turn out fine, in the end. Maybe not the masterpiece that was Tales from the Borderlands, but it'll still probably be worth playing. TftB just came out last year, though, and won a ton of awards. I don't think the Telltale formula is "getting tired," yet.

I don't think the Telltale formula is "getting tired," yet. Well, I was mostly commenting on reviewers' responses and the responses of casual gamers as well as more hardcore Telltale fans, and from my perspective it's not quite tired out yet (I mean, I haven't even played the game yet), but it seems to be going in that direction. I mean, if you've been a fan of the company for as long as I have, you start to see that Telltale tend to do things in a formulaic way. Now that they've seen the episodic games sell like hot cakes, they've not really ventured into any other gameplay style since 2013. The fact that they've announced that they're working on so many episodic games in the foreseeable future means that it's unlikely we'll ever get, say, Poker Night 3 anytime soon. Or ever. And that saddens me. People perhaps have been a little harsh on the game though. The episodes tend to escalate in quality as time goes on, after all.

That's like saying the whole idea of books is getting tiresome because they're still printed on paper. Telltale doesn't have to change how they tell their stories as long as they change the stories. I have no doubt Batman will be good. I just hear it's buggy. With that said, I still have to finish TftB.

Look, I don't want Telltale to give up the whole episodic shtick anytime soon, not on my life (I mostly just think that they're pumping them out a little too numerously and occasionally they neglect the series they haven't even finished), 'cause it still has mileage left. But a big part of me still misses Telltale's experimental period when they were trying out new ideas. I just hope that no more Batman episodes have loads of bugs. Some of the glitches in Telltale games kill the immersion. I encountered several bugs in the Wolf Among Us, from characters wandering around in T positions to the language spontaneously changing on the fly.

Batman was not buggy on my XBOX One. Maybe on PS4. I love being able to make characters decision and the type of gameplay Telltale has. What do people think about the mini Nintendos and Segas coming out? I have no interest. I just got me a Gamecube and Viewtiful Joe along with X-Men Legends. Oh I also have Wrestlemania 19. Fun ass games.

How deep does the rabbit hole go... Convinced this trophy hunting thing is not a fad, at this point. Climbing the ranks like a madman. :/
Update of crap I've been playing:
Blade Kitten: Okay, not great. Can see why only one episode was made. But a shame, 'cause I like the source material.
Mousecraft: Weird puzzle game, where you try to get all the mice to the cheese. Pretty fun, though.
Goat Simulator: Silly game. Fuck flappy goat. ._.
Albedo Eyes from Outer Space: Bad adventure game. Do not recommend.
LA Cops: Fun little game. Reminds me of Hotline Miami.
Digimon All-Star Rumble: Entertaining enough, but I'm not going for the Plat. 12 playthroughs with each character was more than enough. Has bad balancing issues, too. Easy to beat with some Digimon, and a pain in the goddamn ass with others.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2: Now convinced I love these games. I think I might like this one even more than the first. The characters are just so darn funny. One of the endings is pretty dark, for Neptunia standards(this is only my 2nd game, though).
White Night: Pretty good. But it can get annoying at times, when the enemies keep 1-hit killing you.. Pretty creepy, too.

It's buggy on PC. Not the consoles. X-Com 1 and 2 were on a Steam sale so I picked them up. Playing X-Com 1, waiting for my graphics card to arrive tomorrow before I even try 2.

I love the new Wolfenstein games. Bringing sexy back so to speak. Need to play BJ's descendant's newest game.
Also sad-life in respect to Nuclear Throne not being an online-coop, would be hilarious fun. Though I do know there's a mod for the Steam version.

Finished the first Uncharted the other day. After putting so many hours into No Man's Sky I figured it was time for a break and play something with a bit of story to it lol. Started the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and playing MGS2 now. Figured I'd make some headway in that so I can get the game back to my friend... who let me borrow it a year ago xD
UPDATE: Beat MGS2. That shit was fantastic, just as good as the first honestly. Moving on the MGS3 now. ^_^

That Capcom Humble Bundle for PlayStation is insane! Too bad I own every game in it I'd want.. Super good deal, though.
You were right, Surfer; I did end up wanting to play Uncharted again. Only one I haven't replayed now is the first.
Broken Age was a really humorous point and click adventure. And Saturday Morning RPG was a lot of fun. Highly recommend both.

Hey, do you guys remember that Mos Eisley Heroes & Villains mode from Star Wars Battlefront 2? Man, if they brought that back in the EA game, I'd buy it in the span of a heart beat.

I discovered I fucking love Tekken. And I'm not even that into fighting games.
