After 283 episodes of Shippuden, I still haven't come to dislike it. I may never understand why some of you say it went downhill early on/after the time jump, but to each their own. Sasuke's an intolerable twat, for sure. But other than that, I've enjoyed the ride. He's been delegated to just a side character, at this point, anyways. It's become all about Naruto trying to stop Madara from destroying the world, and I'm lovin' it.
Some say Bleach is DBZ with swords, you say it's a Yu Yu Hakusho clone. To me it was unique enough, that I didn't consider it either, but maybe that's just me. One fought mostly aliens, one demons, and Bleach was ghosts. But even the canon storyline after the first 3 seasons, I don't know if I really dug. It was after those 3 the love triangle came into play, Ichigo became emo, and then things seemed to repeat themselves with another "damsel in distress" scenario. And. So. Much. Filler. With most of it not being that interesting to me, personally. I wouldn't be shocked if there were more filler episodes than canon after that first 60+, 'cause it didn't seem like they could have too many before just randomly inserting yet another filler arc.
And I really do mean "random." If you weren't following the show closely, you'd end up lost, with the way they kept jumping in and out of Heuco Mundo.. A few episodes there, then they'd be in the real world. Then back there again for a bit, then in the Soul Society. THE FILLER DIDN'T EVEN FIT, for the most part. That show just seemed to lack any sense of direction..
I started with One Piece and Naruto in Shonen Jump, so I put up with the 4Kids dub, just to see it animated. But I hoped they'd release uncut DVDs, otherwise I wasn't planning on buying. So Funimation really did save the day there, since I don't think 4Kids was ever going to do an Uncut version. And as much as I liked Zoro before, I think I've become a bigger Sanji fan. Eric Vale could have something to do with that. Or maybe it's just because he's a badass mofo, who kicks the shit out of people with his feet! xD
Long post is long. :/
