Working the Database

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but when you try to search the database for a character, you only get results posted within the last month. For example, if you search for King Arthur in the fantasy section, you only get the result Merlin. King Arthur doesn't show up at all, even though he's on the first page of the fantasy section. Has anyone found a way to search the database reliably? I know that I could just look through, but as the database gets larger, that will become less feasible.
