Kun's lightsaber won't be too useful against somebody like Sandman, but he has other Force abilities and Sith relics that would set him apart from other Sith, giving him more options and I think victory.

Sandman will be a hard one to put down. But like leroy said exar has too many sith abilities and more to lose here.
