Heroes of Light series
The Flame Haired Burning-Eyes hunter commonly called Shana by those that personally knew her was a valued addition to the
Heroes of Light. Most enemies didn’t know her and therefore they underestimated her based on her appearance.
She was a slight girl, looking to be an early- maybe even pre-teen. Many times Shana was the most powerful member of her team.
Her comrades tended to embrace the heart of the battle and Shana jumped in only when she was needed. Naturally, once the Flame
Haze entered the fray, no enemies survived to warn about her.
Flame-Haired Burning-Eyes was brought in by the wind God- Fujin. He went before the elder god Alaster, petitioning the donation of
his Denizen hunter.
Alaster was reluctant because his hunter targeted a specific kind of demon. A brand that few warriors of light could even fathom. His
Flame-Haired Blazing-Eyes was the greatest hunter alive. To break her from destroying the Crimson Denizens would be a tragedy
but Fujin assured him that the threat he needed her help in opposing would no doubt involve the demons that Shana hunted if not
now then eventually.
After several defeats, word started spreading of a hero of light who was vanquishing all the force of darkness that encountered her.
The evil ones decided to set a trap.
It would be simple to lure her out. A senseless threat would demand a response. Any allies accompanying her would be disposed of
promptly.
A threat at the gates of the underworld. That would draw her out.
To the evil ones’ delight, Shana was a part of the response team that ventured to the gates of the underworld. A horde of demons
attacked and her whole team was slaughtered. Flame-Haired Blazing-Eyes was the only one able to withstand the onslaught. No
demon was able to overcome her.
But new developments would soon make for an amusing scenario- for the lords of evil at least.
The uprising of evil in the universe caught the attention of Heaven to a degree beyond the norm.
Michael and the other leaders of the war factions of The Host would not sweep through reality as this still was not Armageddon.
They would send a champion to pit against the evil.
Zauriel was chosen. He was not so famous or so powerful that he would call for a Hellish response but as an angel of the eagle host,
he was capable of dealing with the threats that the darkness presented.
Upon entering the lower planes of existence, Zauriel sensed the upheaval at the gates to the underworld. There he went to announce
Heaven’s stand in this conflict.
Shana was in no way close to tiring. In fact, she was enraged at the demise of her team and wave after wave of demon succumbed
to her fury.
Fully engulfed in the battle, Shana suddenly found herself without a target. The demons had fled. Accustomed to such cowardice,
Shana didn’t think it was strange but she still had fury burning in her and didn’t want the monsters to get away. She lashed out
even at the gates of the underworld to get at them.
That was when Zauriel arrived.
“Stop!” he screamed.
The voice halted Shana more than the actual word.
The winged man was swooping down rapidly. This must have been the demons new ploy, disguising one of their kind as an angel to
get her to drop her guard. She wouldn’t fall for it.
Shooting a stream of fire, Shana prepared to call upon the Power of Existence to better combat this pretender.
Zauriel, fully expecting warfare, was not unnerved about being attacked. Truly, he was a little disappointed that they only sent one
being to engage him. They further insulted him by having the monster take on the form of a young girl. As if that would sprout any
mercy in his bout.
Increasing his speed, the angle lead with his blade and the tip burned with the lust for demon agony.
