Unicron saga
Previously: At the threat of a monster planet, the civilizations of the Milky Way Galaxy joined forces to capture the ultra weapon
Warworld. Meanwhile, said monster planet: Unicron sought out a servant.
He had found his first servant.
Although Captain Planet was not able to destroy the SpaceGodzilla, he displayed sufficient enough power that Unicron saw use for
him.
Even as the Chaos Bringer destroyed his world, he plucked Captain Planet and held a conversation with him as he ingested the
planet’s vitalities.
“Congratulations, Captain Planet. I am Unicron. I have spared your life for a purpose. You will do my bidding. Serve me well, and you will be rewarded. Fail me and your rendezvous with oblivion will be renewed.”
Captain Planet didn’t even hear the voice in his head as we watched the monstrous planet literally gobble his own world.
Unicron didn’t repeat himself. Instead he simply forced his influence upon the distraught elemental. If there was resistance, The
Chaos Bringer didn’t notice.

The alliance finally agreed on a commander for Warworld. The Vulcan- Spock. True- he was Federation, but Vulcans ran by logic.
Spock would do what was generally right. When it came time for more passionate solutions a number of advisors were there to
direct him.
With the situation resolved on Warworld, the Enterprise was freed for another mission. A distress signal had been detected but it
was strange, not conforming to the Universal code of known space. If Starfleet was being honest, they weren’t even sure it was a
call for help. The short transmission simply repeated over and over on a wide range of frequencies. Typically only distress calls went
out like that.
Broadcasting on such a wide range, others were sure to receive the signal too. Starfleet wanted a ship and crew that was capable of
handling any competition.
Indeed the signal was received by any others.
Two of them were closer than the Federation vessel.
The firefly class cruiser Serenity answered the call in hopes of collecting a finder’s fee.
Captain Malcolm Reynolds had a gleam in his eye as they approached the source of the signal.
“Not picking anything up on scanners yet, pilot Hogan Washburne told him. “But that’s not strange. Lots of vessels fail to register on
our piece of crap equipment.”
“I’m surprised at you.” Reynolds frowned at him. “Badmouthing your own ship?”
“Man of truth captain,” Washburne huffed. “Man of truth.”
Patting him on the shoulder compassionately, Raynolds said, “Word of advice. Stop hanging around Shepard so much.”
Washburne laughed. “Really has an effect on you doesn’t he?”
They shared the joke quietly.
At last, Washburne announced, “Okay I’ve got it. It’s moving away from us, though.”
“Chase her down.” Reynolds ordered. He left to prepare the others.
The Serenity touched down and Reynolds, Cobb, and Zoe disembarked.
“Where’s our cash cow?” Cobbs looked around confused.
“Right over there.” Raynolds pointed.
The craft had apparently landed somewhat gently. It didn’t look damaged.
Then a shuttle descended a few hundred yards away.
Disappointment flushed over Reynolds’ face. “Looks like we’ve got competition.”

The Normandy was a unique Earth vessel that functioned outside of the Federation, The Robotech Defense Force or any other Terran
organization that operated beyond the planet. Its commander- John Shepard- was a special kind of man who practically answered to
no one. His loyalties were always to Earth and to life and justice as a whole but no government or chain of command issued him
orders.
Commander Shepard came and went as he pleased and the only authority he submitted to was that of his own conscience. The
funny part was, this is exactly how the powers that be arranged his status.
He ordered the Normandy to hold an orbital position a prepared to take a shuttle down to the planet.
Joker, the Normandy’s helmsmen made a special report as Shepard got ready.
“We’re not the first one’s here. I caught a Firefly class transport going planet side as we were arriving.
“Registers as The Serenity. But that’s all I got so far.”
“I don’t want to go in too hot and heavy.” Shepard mused. “For all we know they could just be setting down for repairs.”
“It’s a big coincidence that they land right in the vicinity of the source of the distress beacon.” Ashely Williams pointed out.
“We can call for re-enforcements if it turns out we need it.” Shepard decided. “Ashely, Kaidan. You come down with me. Have a
squad ready if we call for them.”
The three of them boarded the shuttle and the mission was underway.
Fight Parameters:
The Firefly crew is in a race against the Normandy crew to get the source of the distress signal.
They have to track down the source of the signal, find it and secure it. They win whether you think they simply get it first, are able
to out maneuver the other crew or defeat them in battle for it. However you think it will go down.
The Normandy crew is aware of another ship that has already landed but they don’t know who it is.
The Serinity has landed on the planet and have Reynolds, Cobb and Zoe on the ground while the rest of the crew waits in the ship.
The Normandy is in orbit and Shepard, Ashley and Kaidan are taking a shuttle down.
