New Khazan: In the wake of the destruction of Khazan, the gods of that world banned together to build a new world and save the Characters. The world of New Khazan is young, and ever growing. It is broken up into separate districts, which are heavily guarded. Transport is allowed between the districts for characters who inhabit multiple forms of media, however it is strictly regulated. One character managed to set himself up as a god in this new world, and a small group of characters have regained their memories from the old world. They now battle the god's forces to regroup and fix the world.
Anime District: The Anime District is closely linked with the Comic book district, as they are the only districts in Khazan that can be traveled between on foot. This world shares many similarities to our own. Here, honor rules the land - and most heroes and villains live by this fact. This means this world is typically more peaceful than the comics world. Something has recently happened in this District, creating a warzone. The heroes, as well as some villains, have mounted a defense against the Evil God's ever growing forces.
Vin Venture: Vin was one of the first three heroes to regain her memories. In another life time, she had a daughter and husband. As she searches to find him, save this world, and reconcile her memories, she's plagued with guilt over the husband she has in this life. She knows she must push forward to fix her broken world, no matter what the personal cost. Thus far she's managed to barely survive against some of the god's most powerful forces, while uniting with her friend's Shuriken and Aang. And though she doesn't show it, every defeat shakes her confidence.
The battle against Titans proved intense. Luckily, what the giants had in size they lacked in intelligence. Shruikan did most of the heavy lifting, with Vin and Aang using their cunning and abilities to keep the Titans distracted, while avoiding them. The living mountain that was Shruikan eventually slew every Titan, but not without suffering injuries of his own.
When the dragon landed, his friends rushed to his side. “Are you alright,” Vin asked.
Although Shruikan’s were mostly minor scraps and bumps, to creatures as small as Vin and Aang they appeared massive. <Aye,> The dragon spoke through her mind, <Your concern is welcome, but it would take more than the fists of a man, no matter how big, to bring me down. But the day has been long, and our challenges great. I could use some rest, as I sense you could too.>
“There’s no time!” Vin protested, “This, god that’s after us won’t rest. We have to find the others before he catches us!”
“No,” Aang said, looking away from both of his friends, toward at the charred and broken bodies of the Titans, “He’s been able to have his soldiers cut us off at every pass. They could be following us, or waiting for us, and we have no idea of knowing which. They’ll catch us eventually, and when they do we need to be at full strength.”
Vin let out a long and low sigh. The idea of waiting around with her thoughts bothered her. But before she raised a counter argument, Shruikan motioned toward Aang with his eyes. Vin looked closely at her young friend. “Alright,” she said, taking a deep breath to steel her nerves, “We’ll rest.”
There was a rumble, as the gate to the city opened. The three heroes looked over, ready for the worst. People came flooding out, cheering wildly. “Thank you strangers!” An elder said as he approached the group, “You and your great beast defeated the Titans. Without our heroes, we thought we were doomed for sure.”
<You’re heroes?> Shurikan asked, his voice echoing through the minds of each villager.
The people gasped. “The dragon speaks?” A man yelled from the crowd.
“He does,” Vin said, “Answer his question. What happened to your heroes?”
“Oh, nothing my dear,” the elder spoke, “But after the last attack, our city was ravaged. The heroes who aren’t recovering had to leave us to gather supplies for our people. We’re vulnerable, and they counted on that; so they sent our own monsters after us. We thought we were done for, until you came.”
<We need shelter, and rest.> Shruikan said, <If you provide it, we can defend your people until your heroes return.>
Vin didn’t like the idea of hiding out in an unknown city, but these people seemed sincere and she didn’t have a better idea. She remained silent while the elder smiled and said, “Of course. Although a dragon of your size might find even our most spacious of areas a tight fit. Now, come heroes! We will gather the food we have a celebrate your victory!
Vin found the feast depressing. Not only did it remind her of the balls where she met Elend, but Shruikan didn’t fit in the gathering hall. To make matters worse, it had been 2 hours and Aang was nowhere to be found. He told Vin that he wanted to do something and would be there later, but Vin was beginning to suspect he wasn’t coming.
After excusing herself, Vin walked all the way outside the wall to find Aang. In the dead of night, Aang was Earth bending massive amounts of dirt and rock, making graves for the fallen Titans. With the silence of a thief, Vin approached Aang and placed a hand on his shoulder. The avatar was so focused on his task that he jumped at her touch. “Sorry,” Vin said, “It’s only me.”
“Oh, hi,” Aang said, the typical carefree voice he had was replaced by solemn, soft spoken words, “Is the part over?”
“Not when I left. But it wasn’t any fun without my friends. What are you doing out here?”
Aang wiped sweat from his brow and said, “It didn’t feel right celebrating the death of these giants.”
“You know their not people, right?” Vin asked, “They were telling me about the Titans at the party; they’re mindless animals; they look like people, but they’re more rapid wild dogs.”
“That doesn’t matter,” Aang said, “I believe all life is scared, no matter how big or small. I believe if you have to fight, you should always find a way to win without killing anything.”
“Nobel,” Vin said. She didn’t add that she thought it was foolish, Vin wasn’t one to kick a friend while they were down. “So how do we beat a god without killing him?”
Aang shrugged, “We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. But, how do you even kill a god?”
“I’ve done it,” Vin said, “In the world where I came from. Once we regroup, we can do anything.”
“Anything,” Aang agreed, “That includes fixing the world without killing anyone.”
“Maybe,” Vin said. Aang’s earnestness made her smile, it even forced her to let out a laugh.
A third voice joined the conversation, “I don’t think you need to worry about killing anyone.” The two turned to see a dark haired man in a suit. Despite his appearance, there was murder in his eyes, “You need to worry about saving yourselves.”
Vin began burning Tin and Pewter, preparing for a fight, “And just who are you?”
The man smiled, “My name is Morlun, I was sent to see who interfered in our plans. This city is the Anime section’s first line of defense, you see, once my forces have over taken it we will have a foothold to mount a full invasion.”
“I didn’t think it was true,” Vin said, “But comic book villains really do reveal their entire plan to their enemies.”
Morlun laughed, “I supposed some do, but everything I said is common knowledge to the natives of these two districts. Besides, information is no use to the dead!”
Vin - Full strength. Low on her ingested Pewter and Tin, full on all other metals. Vin's also carrying one replacement vile of each metal, as well as her two glass daggers.
Aang - Tired from bending enough Earth to make graves for 15 Titans. Otherwise at full power.
Morlun - Full strength
Morlun is out to kill Vin and Aang. Vin is willing to kill, but her and Aang they only need to KO or incapacitate Morlun to win.
