Masters of Evil series
Masters of Evil vs. The League of Native American Super Heroes
Previously: Building a Masters of Evil team, a prison break allowed brought in several new members including Creed Diskenth. Diskenth, immediately challenged Baron Zemo for leadership of the team.
Like all peoples, Native Americas were bunched up into a homogeneous society but there were actually as many variations of Native
Americans as there were different kind of Americans.
The Navaho, Apache, Opi, Black Crow exedra, exedra, exedra.
Furthermore, it never registered that not all these different peoples got along.
Therefore, no one knew the significance of so many tribes gathering with a single purpose.
Only the special ones of their tribes came. Apache Chief and Thunderbird. Thomas Fireheart- the Puma. Chief Thunder. T. Hawk.
Manitou Raven. And a few others.
“Our medicine men have seen the visions.” Apache Chief stated. “An evil is coming. We must unite to oppose it.”
“My problem,” T. Hawk declared, “Is that if this is so horrible, why don’t we just call the Avengers or something. You’re with the
X-Men, Proudstar. Why aren’t they addressing this?”
Thunderbird growled. “Xavier only cares about mutants. If it ain’t a mutant threat, the X-Men don’t care.”
“We shouldn’t worry about who’s not involved.” Said Chief Thunder. “We should be developing a plan based on who’s here now.”
“He’s right.” Red Wolf affirmed. “Let’s start by you telling us what we are facing.”
Everyone stared at Nightwolf but it was Manitou Raven who spoke up.
“I had the visions. It is unclear, but no less threatening.”
Manitou actually lived 3000 years ago. One of the Justice League’s adventures somehow brought him to the present. He did a short
stint with the Justice League but could not adapt well to the team nor to the modern era. A living relic, the ancient Shaman was
taken in by the various Native American super heroes as a holy man of unprecedented knowledge. Many of the new age Shaman
counseled with him and found that their modern magic was no match for the secrets that died long past Raven’s time. When he
spoke, everyone listened.
“What should we do?”
Raven had a definite answer.
“I saw a land far away. I think it is Europe. It is the beginning of the threat.”
“Should we gather more braves?” Apache Chief wondered.
“What we have now should suffice. There is no time to call upon others.”
Their actions decided, the League of Native American super heroes traveled to Europe.
Once on the continent, their search for the evil was much easier.
Manitou Raven followed the surge of evil right to the source.

Baron Zemo was close to falling when a case of good fortune smiled upon him. Creed Diskenth wasn’t a better swordsman but his
power was more than the Baron could handle. Slits of ice started to disrupt Creed’s stances. He movements were harassed as he
tripped over small chunks of frozen water systematically appeared along his path.
These little openings were all that Zemo needed to catch his opponent. A stab through the heart finished Creed and Zemo’s right to
leadership was maintained.
Making sure that he didn’t breathe too heavily, the Baron addressed the onlookers. “Is there anyone else who would like to
challenge me?”
No one did. Or maybe they just didn’t have the chance because of the mystic doorway opening. They were alarmed but didn’t
prepare for battle because their leader just stood there and watched. Perhaps he was expecting someone, they thought.
Turrok came through first. And then Thunderbird.
The Masters of Evil’s concern grew with each new arrival.
“Who are these people?” Vicious wondered out loud.
“This is the evil we’ve gathered to destroy, Manitou?” Red Wolf asked of the mystic.
“That’s Baron Zemo.” Apache Chief pointed out. “He has been a force for evil for a long time. We are in the right place.”
The Masters of Evil looked at Zemo to see what to do.
The masked man gripped his sword. “How did you discover us?”
“You’re evil drew us here.” Nightwolf answered proudly.
Abandoning any further conversation with them, Baron Zemo went into his own mind. This League of Native American Superheroes
had seemed just as surprised to come here as the Masters of Evil were to see them arrive. They also didn’t seem to be acting under
any contact with the larger super hero community. They could not be allowed to inform the Justice League or the Avengers of him
and his team. All of them had to die here and now.
He pointed the tip of his blade at the League.
“Masters of Evil. Kill these savages! Leave none of them alive! Attack! Now!”
