Note: Before I begin, let me say, I know that my explanation for how Vin and Aang survived goes against the stipulations I put on the fight. I just didn't want to drop them off in the limbo area (rumble section, with Dante and Lady) so I took some liberties.

New Khazan: In the wake of the destruction of Khazan, the gods of that world banned together to build a new world and save the Characters. The world of New Khazan is young, and ever growing. It is broken up into separate districts, which are heavily guarded. Transport is allowed between the districts for characters who inhabit multiple forms of media, however it is strictly regulated. One character managed to set himself up as a god in this new world, and a small group of characters have regained their memories from the old world. They now battle the god's forces to regroup and fix the world.
Fantasy District: Home of Vin Venture and the black Dragon Shurikan, this world perpetually set in the near to distant past. The dark god worked hard to keep Vin and Shurikan from leaving this world, even sending one of his generals, Mewtwo, to kill the hero known as Link in order to get access to and from the district shut down. This plan worked, until Avatar Aang found his way into the district and the dark god sent Kratos to help Mewtwo. the two generals fought, allowing the heroes to escape to the next district, and ending with Kratos killing Mewtwo. In a fit of rage, the dark god destroyed his crystal ball monitoring the group.
Team Vin: In her past life, Vin was a part of the Universal Warriors from the beginning and was a key player throughout the war. As one of the first warriors, her memories awoke before most of the others and she set out to find Shurikan. In New Khanzan, Shurikan was once again slave to Galbatorix. Vin managed to remind the dragon of who he was and free him. Meanwhile, Aang noticed something wrong with this world and spoke with the avatars who preceded him. The three heroes found one and other, and then had a near fatal run in with Itachi Uchiha.
Vin awoke, slowly, her head was spinning. Not only were her thoughts torn between two lovers from two different lifetimes, but the pain of a concussion still lingered. She instinctively began burning Pewter to dull the pain. She looked around, seeing the dead bodies of the transit workers and everything came back to her. These people had been killed before they arrived, and Itachi would have killed Vin and Aang they instant he saw them had it not been for a couple of factors. Vin's Cadmium slowed down time outside of a bubble, allowing her and Aang to perceive Itachi better - though keeping up was still hard. The other thing that saved them was Shurikan blocking Itachi's genjutsu and Vin using her emotional allomancy to make Itachi less willing to kill them.
Obviously, it didn't stop him from trying. Vin and Aang lost, badly. The only question was, how did they survive.
<It was me,> Shurikan spoke to Vin through her mind.
"I still don't get it," Vin said, "Even if you fought him off. Itachi could kill us in one hit, and he obviously hit us..."
<When I saw that our defensive tactics failed, I did what I could to flood Itachi's mind with our combined memories. It gave him pause, and he showed you mercy. He knocked the two of you out, and I let him escape to confront his master.>
"Did he tell you anything?" Vin asked.
<Just that his master is one of the New Khazan gods.>
"Just a god?" Vin asked, "And here I thought it was something we haven't faced."
Time passed and Aang awoke as well. The three didn't dare stay longer than they needed, they were in no hurry for the god to discover their location, and so they took to the skies. "What's the plan?" Aang asked.
"I don't think we have any allies in this district," Vin said, "Unless we want to try and find Itachi again."
<No, if his god believes him loyal, it's best we don't blow his cover.>
Vin and Aang both nodded, with Vin saying, "It might be the quickest way to fix all this. So, I think we just keep going until we get to the video game district; that's where we can find Galen."
"But what if they're looking for us?" Aang asked, "We can't assume they stayed there."
<He speaks the truth. Any of our allies can be anywhere in New Khazan, especially if this god is sending his forces after them as well.>
"What do you suggest?"
"We can try and ask around this district," Aang said, "To find out if anyone has seen our friends."
Vin knew Aang had a point, but, she still had her reservations, "I'd rather not bring the fight to this district if we can help it."
Shurikan's thoughts rushed into each of their minds, <Perhaps it's too late to avoid it.> The black dragon quickly began to descend, as Vin burned Tin in order to try and see what he saw. Before long, they all saw it, a walled city under siege by giants.
"God or not, we have to help these people," Aang said.
Vin knew Aang was right, but as she steeled her nerves she had no idea what help she could provide.
Vin: Fully recovered, with full Steel, Iron, Tin, and Duralium. She has burned half of her Pewter. She has 2 replacement vials of each of her metals.
Aang: Carrying his staff/glider. Slight lingering affects from being knocked unconscious; Avatar state will the problem if accessed.
Shurikan: Full power, massive dragon
