Previously: The beginnings of an endeavor to bring down The Hand, Sam Fisher stole into their training camp in Syria.
Sam had found what he was looking for. The hand had disposed of the bodies of Del Spooner and Matt Parkman by putting them
into a cremation chamber.
That men there would be no bringing them home for a proper burial. He didn’t envy whoever it was that had to tell their families
what had happened to them.
But the mission wasn’t over. Now it was time to shut this place down.
With his multi signal homing beacon, Sam activated the go sign rather than the emergency, come and save me sign. The calvary,
whoever it was, would know to move in, guns blazing and kill every single Hand ninja they saw. Sam was to hunker down and let
the heavy hitters do their work.
The fighting sounded intense and as Sam listened, he began to wonder if his allies needed any help. Stand up battle wasn’t his
specialty, but he knew how to fight himself out of a situation.
A few minutes later, a group came through where he was hiding.
Some of the ninja seemed to be retreating. But they didn’t seem to be out to save their own lives. They were protecting others.
“Be sure that all evidence is destroyed!” the one who seemed to be in charge commanded. He had sharp features adding to his
sharp receding salt and pepper hairline. Throw in some muttonchops and a cape-like cloak and the man might as well have worn a
‘villain’ name tag on his chest.
“They’re killing everyone they encounter with prejudice.” Someone else said. “I don’t think they’re after any information.”
“Don’t be ridiculous.” Said the leader. “Once the resistance is eliminated they will take the information that we leave behind and use
it to stop our grand plans.”
They uncovered a vehicle, an aircraft with v-tol capabilities. This group was about to escape.
Sam had a shot but he could get all of them before they reacted. Since he didn’t know who any of these people were, there was no
way to determine who was the biggest threat.
If he could kill all of these guys before they got on the plane The Hand would surely be done for. The angle was bad to hit the leader
but the other one who seemed to have some power was an easy target.
Screw it. This was too good an opportunity to pass up.
Sam aimed- fired- and almost cursed out loud when the man moved just as the shot went out.
He missed. The man knew that someone had taken a shot at him. They couldn’t spot Sam and so they sent one of their ninja
protectors to find and kill him.
Sam grimaced, knowing that he blew it. Now he was fighting for his own life and not for the mission.
A deadly game of hide and kill
Raizo doesn’t know where Sam is, but he knows someone is hiding in the room somewhere.
Sam sees Raizo coming but he is nervous about taking a shot and revealing his location.
