This is not the Star Wars Universe you know...
This universe has seen constant war...
It is year 590 of the Jedi-Sith War... With no clear end in sight.
For almost twenty years now, the so-called "Peacekeepers" of the galaxy have been driven into hiding on scarce Jedi worlds. Their alliance with the Republic shattered and the Order nearly destroyed from the inside-out.
It is the Sith Unification that now holds most of the galaxy, with the exception of the Core Worlds and Hutt Space. The Empire has been officially absorbed by the Sith Kingdom, ruled by the Pureblooded King-Emperor Khuuliu and his alien Queen-Empress Zeelya.
The Republic is neutral... They keep within the boundaries of the Core, abstaining from alliances with both Sith and Jedi.
Now, times are changing. The Sith Unification, having spent the last fourteen years solidifying their coalition with the Empire, now sets its sights back on war. First task: Eliminate the remnants of the Jedi Order.
***
Our story begins on Taris, the last Republic-aligned world outside the Core, its fate now in the hands of a few...
The choices you make will drive both your character and the story. Each character will be neutrally aligned at the start, progressing towards either the dark side or the light side... Sith Unification or Jedi Order? Or perhaps they stay neutral, remaining with the Republic?
This means that whichever character you create can not already be trained as a Jedi or Sith, however they may be force-sensitive. Your character must also have a reason for why they are currently on Taris...

^ Same! Think I'll spend today working on this <3 Name: Illya Seville Age: 24 Species: Arkanian (Alien distinctions include pupil-less white eyes, white hair, tan skin, four-digit hands, and infrared sight.) Homeworld: Arkania Occupation: Diamond Distributor / Con-Artist Bio (at least two paragraphs including history and reason for being on Taris):
Illya was born to a poor mining family on Arkania. Her father spent his days scouring for diamonds only to be paid a fraction of what the jewels were worth. Her childhood, consisting of months without pay and frequent enrollments and dropouts out of cheap academies, left her defeated and bitter. The upper-classes, in an effort to flaunt their affluence, bought exotic and beautiful enhancements for their families, having their children genetically merged with Zeltrons, Hapans, etc. Just another thing Illya didn't have... It was in her teen years that she decided to make offworld friends. She caught a ride with a few smugglers, then some pirates, and toured notorious criminal worlds like Nar Shaddaa, Florrum, Hutta, Vulta, and the undercities of Coruscant, Taris, and Cademimu V. During this time, she took notice of her persuasive capabilities and used them to acquire a small wealth. Deciding to finally make an appearance back on her homeworld, she convinced her father to go into business for himself with Illya as his broker. Since then, she has sold diamonds for unusually high prices in the underworld channels and has made her way back to Taris. Strengths: - Basic Force Persuasion
- Business Savvy
- Underworld Contacts
- Excels with a Blaster
Weaknesses:- Jealous (Obsesses over others and their achievements and possessions.)
- Insecurity Complex (Aspires to save up credits for genetic/cybernetic enhancements that her parents couldn't provide her.)
- Eyesight (Sensitive to sources of extreme heat. Forced to wear blinders on planets with hotter suns.)
- Enemies (While she has trusted contacts, she also has bitter rivals in the underworld.)

I am quite interested in joining this RP.
I am currently on vacation though, and won't be able to access the 'net reliably until I get back home.
I'll be home early next week, Monday or Tuesday, so if there's no objections to me joining at that time I'll have a sheet up relatively shortly afterwards.

That's fine, I'm leaving sign up sheet open for awhile so that everyone gets a chance to join if they want.

A Miraluka pilot? He must have SOME sight range! Miraluka are naturally force sensitive, and have an inborn ability to "see" with the force, so while they are physically blind, completely lacking eyes in fact. They are usually more perceptive than beings with eyes.

Looking for somewhere between 4 and 6 players so we can start. I will be happy to accept more than 6 if it comes to everyone suddenly wanting to join though. For now at least, I will be making a cut off day for those who want to join. The deadline is September 1st. Have your characters in by then. kainboa : Good job on the character. I enjoy Miraluka. Approved.

Is agoraphobia not a big problem in space, or is it only referring to the immediate area around him?
Since his force sight extends far enough that he can pilot efficiently (I'd assume).

The way I had envisioned it working, is that if he can't sense anything around him, like if he's in a large arena or standing in an open field, then his agoraphobia kicks in. But when he's flying a ship, he's basically encased in metal, nice and secure. As for the range of his force sight, without any additional training, he's able to "see" in a roughly 20 feet radius around him, in complete 360 degrees. With training and/or focus, he'd be able to extend that further, just like any other force ability is able to be "enhanced" with the same.

They are usually more perceptive than beings with eyes. LOLOLOL. Sweetheart, I KNOW my Star Wars. Actually, my first character for this was gonna be a Miraluka, but I changed it so I'd have the opportunity to write that my character 'looked', 'glared', 'eyed', etc. XD As for the range of his force sight, without any additional training, he's able to "see" in a roughly 20 feet radius around him, in complete 360 degrees. Miraluka's have the potential to be OP characters because you can justify that, when walking into a building, they can see everything occurring in the building. It complicates things. The problem with him being a pilot is that he can see everything within the ship and for a certain radius outside the ship, but he wouldn't be very successful in dodging maneuvers, starship battles, or subterfuge... Asteroids, incoming ships, blasterfire, etc.

He wouldn't be able to see everything... not without Jedi training. As for the ship well... I suppose he could just read his map on the dashboard. Miraluka sight is strange lol
