Captain America's shield rung against The Top's head, taking him out before he could even fight back. The rest of the Rogues, however, were quicker on the draw.
A whirlwind of motion followed. Bullets, fire, ice and plasma all but consumed the Central City block. Within seconds, Master Chief threw up a bubble shield to protect Leon and Guile, as neither had any sort of protection. Cap, regaining his shield, used that for cover instead and made his way to Captain Cold.
"The bubble won't last long, make it count!", Chief yelled to the others as he leaped forward, slamming his gravity hammer into an unsuspecting Heatwave only to have it pass through him in his fire form. The hammer slammed into the ground and Chief was left with his back exposed, leaving Heatwave and Weather Wizard to assault him with lightening and fire.
Behind the bubble, Guile threw several Sonic Booms in the enemies direction. Much of it was useless as the attacks only phased through the Rogues but it did buy them enough time for Leon's P.R.L. 412 laser gun to charge.
"That thing going to work?", Guile asked.
"Only one way to find out!", Leon replied, firing the gun and sending a powerful beam straight at Weather Wizard. The beam connected, causing a huge electrical discharge from Wizard and blowing out all the power within the city.
The blast had been big enough to knock both Weather Wizard and Heatwave out, as they had been in close proximity. Master Chief's armor had defenses against electrical charges, but with one so close by it did in shut down his suit and prompt a reboot.
"Nice...", said Guile and Leon, leaving the bubble to check on Master Chief.
All that was left was Captain Cold, whom had been keeping busy with Captain America but was now at a stand still...
"You're all alone, Cold. Give up,", order Cap.
Looking around Cold saw all of his teammates had been dealt with. He could hear the sirens of police coming this way and he knew that he was more than outnumbered. Going back to prison wasn't an option.
"I think I'll go with the alternative.", said Cold as a large wall of ice sprouted from his feet, blocking Cap's mid-air shield. The wall ran the length of the street and was at least 15 feet high. Cold had gotten away...
After the battle, Cap and the others rounded up the Rogues and handed them off to the police, making sure that each of them had their own set of sea-stone cuffs to negate their devil fruit powers.
"What now?", Master Chief asked, finally regaining control over his suit.
"We burn what is left of the fruit, then we head to a safe house. There's one not far from the city." Cap responded.
"Safe house? Thought the mission was to go after more of these things.", Guile pointed at the warehouse full of devil fruits being burned by Central City's fire squad.
"It is. But we need to regroup. Make some contacts to Shield if possible. There is a whole world full of these things and the four of us running around and burning them ain't going to cut it."
"Fury is still missing, Cap." voiced Leon. "Maybe we find him at one of these safe houses, sure. But Shield is still at arms with HYDRA. As far as I'm concerned, we are all we got."
"I think I've got a solution to at least one of our problems...Cortana." Chief interjected. "She's a neural interface that I can link to. An AI. She can get us into Shield's database to find out whats going on and gives us a leg up. Haven't got the chance to get her chip installed but I know where it is. The UNSC."
The group collectively turn their heads to Chief, "Can you get us there?" asked Cap.
Master Chief holstered his assault rifle and gave a nod, "Captain, It would be my honor."
Some time passes as Team America makes their way through Central City, only to get stopped on the outskirts of the city...surrounded by unfamiliar ninjas.
"Cap?", said Guile as he and the others survey the area, high and low, only to realized they were surrounded.
"Stick close, they haven't attacked yet. The second they do we fight back...except you Leon."
"What?" Leon protested
"You were already driving the jeep, don't get out. We can handle this, you get the safe house. We will meet you, understood?"
Leon started to argue with him, but decided it would be best if he just went along with it. His arguments with Captain America never ended with a win anyway. Leon nodded, "Understood, sir."
"We will give you the signal, then haul ass. We will keep you covered." said Cap as he, Guile and Master Chief got out and stood amongst the ninjas.
"So you here to take our lunch money or...?" Guile smirked as the apparent leaders came forward.
"I am Ra's Al Ghul, and this is my newly acquainted ally, Master Shredder. We control both the League of Assassins and the Foot Clan. You all should feel honored that we've come this far to greet you in person on your way out."
"I'm touched but I fail to see why you've come so far. We have nothing you want." Cap replied, holding the handle of his shield ready.
"Then you fail to realize your importance. You hold information that would prove useful to us. We simply plan on taking that from you, then eliminating you all from the equation." Shredder boasted, motioning both Foot ninjas and League ninjas forward.
"If it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you get! Team GO!" Cap ordered, throwing his shield at the enemy and starting the battle.
Captain America and Guile have standard gear
Master Chief is equipped with 1 Gravity Hammer, 2 M6 pistols, 1 Assault rifle, 2 Flashbang grenades, 2 Explosive grenades and one bubble shield
Ra's Al Ghul and Shredder are comic book incarnations. 50 Foot Clan ninjas and 50 League assassins.
Team America wins if they defeat all opposition or by escape. Ra's and Shredder are aiming to keep at least one of them alive for questioning.
