I would say the most popular characters should be entered first, since most noobs that could possibly join will use the more common characters. Then when the estranged characters start popping up they can be added.

Hey, nice to be here. It's 'supes' went by Supes Rulez back at the CBUB but for some reason that was an 'invalid name' here.
Anyway, more characters that should be added in time should be famous sci-fi characters and fantasy.
Star Wars characters
Star Trek characters
More well-known fantasy figures like King Arthur, and more from there.

If we want the people to come and make matches/match-ups, we need to start requesting that profiles for some of the more popular characters be made. I don't mean to be rude, but the additions are starting to skew a bit toward the obscure, and that's not what's going to bring the casual fans in. How about...

Can't speak for the other reviewers, but I've been looking at the CBUB character database, seeing which characters have the most extensive win-loss records in each database category, and then, for the most part, adding them. |

Heh. My method is pretty simple too. I typically go by either requests/word of mouth, but when I tend to run out of those two, I'll go on with popular movies/DVD releases which would garnish enough interest in the specific character involved. Ex: Victor Crowley for the DVD release of Hatchet 3. |
