I find it really funny and concerning when Alan Moore talks about rape when literally almost every one of his comics feature a woman getting sexually violated in some way, often times not even having to do with the overall plot.
In any case I just read MiracleMan Vol 3. It sucked. As much as I didn't think it was possible, Moore's pretentious and flowery writing was even more over the top than usual. You literally cannot read the stuff without rolling your eyes and then immediately falling asleep.
Also, MiracleMan is a superhero comic. It's not even like Watchmen where Moore subverts superhero themes, it is literally a superhero comic. Just to add the icing on the cake.

His intention was to deconstruct common superhero story tropes or something like that. He basically turned a cast of innocent not-entirely original British superhero characters into mass murderers and such, did he not? I also heard that he completely retconned the old Marvelman stories.

The second volume was alright, and the third volume straight up blows.
