Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 was partially buried in a pile of rubble and debris. He lifted his armoured hand upwards, and then slammed it into the ground beside him. He used his immense strength to then pull of a large chunk of metal that lay across his chest. He rose up from the dirt, and revealed his true height and build. Even through Mjolnir armour, his muscles were still highly visible, yet despite this, his face could not be seen from behind the yellow tint of the visor on his helmet.
The Master Chief then lifted his arm and pulled out his assault rifle from his backpack. He coughed and then said "Cortana..."
Cortana was the artificial intelligence that sent Master Chief information in the thick of battle, and was one of his closest companions. Cortana's voice then spoke through John's helmet. "This man you are fighting is more powerful than anything in my database. You will have to use all of your own power to defeat him."
In the distance was a large, abandoned temple-like structure. The pillars that kept the building up were torn and crumbling beneath the weight of the rocky ceiling. The place Master Chief was in was otherwise empty, though there were some high mountains even further in the distance. It was bleak, lifeless, and colourless. A figure emerged from the temple. Master Chief used a device within his helmet to get a closer look at the figure. He had completely white skin, bright red tattoos, a golden shoulder pad, a skirt, and two massive hook swords chained to his wrists.
This figure was of course the God of War himself, Kratos.
"There he is..." said Master Chief. He spotted a sniper rifle conveniently laying nearby. He ran over and picked the gun up. He looked through the scope and prepared to aim for Kratos's head. However, when Master Chief looked for Kratos, he was gone. The Chief then looked up, and saw Kratos soaring through the skies with two dark wings attached to his back.
Master Chief tried to shoot Kratos down with sniper rounds, but every time he thought he had a lock on the demigod, Kratos did a fancy air trick to evade Master Chief. Kratos then nosedived straight towards Master Chief. Master Chief turned and ran in the opposite direction before dramatically diving forwards and doing a combat roll just as the Ghost of Sparta crashed headfirst into the ground. This kicked up a massive dust cloud that obscured both combatants' vision.
Kratos then emerged from the cloud of dust before Master Chief. John shot at Kratos with the sniper rifle. The round pierced the skin on Kratos's shoulder, but the angry demigod just shrugged this off and continued to slowly and ominously walk forward. Master Chief focused more, and then fired a second round directly at Kratos's heart.
The massive bullet went straight through Kratos's chest. The bullet left a large, gaping hole. A shot like that would have certainly killed a mortal man, but Kratos was much more than that. Kratos barely even acknowledged the hole in his chest and continued to walk forwards. It was at that point John-117 knew he wasn't fighting against a human. He was fighting against a god.
"Your weapons cannot harm me! Prepare for death, mortal!" yelled Kratos. The demigod's voice was so loud and commanding that John almost felt compelled to just give in and accept fate. But this Master Chief Petty Officer was not the kind of Master Chief Petty Officer to give up without a proper fight.
"Not likely!" said Master Chief before getting out his energy sword from his backpack and lunging towards Kratos. Kratos threw one of his chained hook swords towards Master Chief, but the green warrior just slid straight under the blade, before rolling forward to get back into his feet again. When Master Chief got close enough, he somersault kicked the Ghost of Sparta right in the jaw, which actually knocked Kratos clean off his feet. Just before Kratos landed on the ground, Master Chief dashed forwards and slashed Kratos upwards with his energy sword, causing the demigod to fly backwards and onto his back.
Kratos leapt to his feet and then roared furiously. The fight was on! Who will win?
Kratos has only his twin hook swords and the wings of Icarus, while Master Chief has an energy sword, a sniper rifle, a magnum, and an assault rifle on him. There are also some weapons lying around that he can use, like rocket launchers and Spartan lasers, as well as gadgets for his armour like jet packs, speed boosts, personal shields and damage boosters.

The outcome...
Kratos leaped high in the sky with his twin hook swords over his head. Master Chief rolled to the left to dodge this incoming attack. He came down to the ground and slammed the swords on the ground where Master Chief was. Master Chief got to his feet and then unloaded all of the ammo in his assault rifle into Kratos's back, but this only annoyed the demigod.
While Master Chief tried to reload, Kratos threw one of his chained hook swords at Master Chief. The blow was so fierce that Master Chief got sent flying away like a rag doll.
Master Chief noticed a rocket launcher laying besides him. He picked it up, aimed for Kratos's head, and then fired a rocket towards him. Kratos put sheathed both of his hook swords on his back, and then ran straight towards the rocket that was headed for him. In a feat of pure badassery, Kratos actually grabbed the rocket with his bare hands. He then threw it back towards Master Chief. The explosion caused John to go flying into the old temple that was nearby.
Master Chief found himself partially lodged in the sides of one of the pillars keeping the building together. He then fell to the ground, but the force of his body hitting the pillar beforehand had left a Spartan soldier shaped imprint in the rock. Master Chief struggled to his feet, and grabbed hold of an over-shield ordinance drop that was nearby. A green aura of energy encased Master Chief, and he felt indestructible.
Kratos was using the wings of Icarus to fly towards the Chief, and prepared to nosedive into him and punch his lights out. Master Chief just stood there, like an unflinching centurion, and took the blow to the face. Kratos was shocked that Master Chief barely reacted to his attack. Master Chief then grabbed Kratos's arm, lifted him up, and slammed him into the ground. John unsheathed his energy sword, and plunged it directly into the Ghost of Sparta's heart. Kratos screamed in agony, before giving John a look of pure hatred. Kratos kicked John in the shins to trip him up, before judo throwing the soldier behind him.
This attack broke Master Chief's over-shield prematurely. Master Chief looked around him before picking up a jet pack that was laying next to him, and then took to the skies above the temple. Kratos used to wings of Icarus to follow him into the skies. Both warriors clashed blades and sparks flew everywhere around them as the Chief's energy sword and Kratos's hook swords collided. As this happened, John's jet pack ran out of juice. Using his quick thinking, John grabbed hold of Kratos's foot in an attempt to drag the demigod down with him. This didn't work, as Kratos simply kicked John's hand to make him let go.
Master Chief steadied himself in midair as he fell, knowing that Kratos wasn't far above him. John crashed straight through the roof of the temple, causing the whole place to collapse around him. Fortunately, John wasn't hurt much by either the fall or the crash, and managed to get up. But when he did this, Kratos fell from the skies behind him and slashed downwards with his hook swords, cutting the Chief cleanly in half as he landed.
"ASSASSINATION!" yelled Kratos. He then looked confused, as he had no idea why he suddenly felt compelled to say that.
