Spider-Man brought Lois Lane to Stark Tower, where he and Tony Stark discussed the woman's origins and what universe she could have come from. However, since Reed Richards, AKA Mister Fantastic had already perfected cross-universal transportation, they brought Lois to his engineering laboratory. Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four, all decided to take Lois to various nearby universes outside of the Marvel multiverse until they find her home.
"Is this going to be safe?" asked Lois cautiously to the burly costumed men standing before her. One wore a full body skin tight red and blue spandex with white eye holes. One wore a grey lab coat over skin tight blue costume and had goggles over his eyes. And the last one wore a yellow and red suit of armour. She looks at Mr Fantastic's transportation device. It looked like a giant cylinder on a metal plate, with hundreds of flashing lights and buttons on the control panel next to it.
"It should be perfectly safe, Miss Lane. We may have to stop at a few different universes before we arrive at your home universe. My devices struggle to reach into worlds outside our own multiverse." said Mr Fantastic while pressing lots of different buttons on the transporter's control panel. Lois didn't really understand anything Reed had just said, but trusted his judgement because he was a scientist.
"So if me and Iron Man join the Fantastic Four on this little mission, shouldn't we be called the Fantastic Six?" asked Spider-Man to the two older superheroes in the lab.
"That doesn't have the same ring to it. Plus if we were part of your team, Reed, we'd all have to wear that blue spandex. And I ain't wearing that." said Iron Man dryly while pointing towards the stretchy superhero.
Mr Fantastic typed some things into his computer, and then looked up at Miss Lane.
"So, Miss Lane, are you ready?" asked Mr Fantastic.
"Yes, quite ready."
"Then I had better call the rest of the Four. If you say supervillains inhabit your reality, then we had better be prepared." said Mr Fantastic while strolling off to fetch the Invisible Woman, the Thing, and the Human Torch, his best friends and superhero comrades.
Later on, the Fantastic Four came in and were properly suited-up. Johnny was muttering in Ben's ear. He said, "This all seems like a lot of trouble for one person, Ben."
"There are plenty of other superheroes in New York, Johnny. They can handle crime for a few minutes before we get back." said Ben Grimm reassuringly.
And so Lois Lane, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing, all hopped inside Richards' teleporting cylinder. It glowed in all of the colours of the visible spectrum, and in a flash of light, they all disappeared.
Coincidently, the seven heroes all ended up in Captain Planet's universe. The insane and dangerous environmental hero had turned all humans into trees... Including Lois's coworker Clark Kent, AKA the Superman, who had arrived in that universe to rescue Lois. Captain Planet was just relaxing on a tropical beach island near to the lush forest where he defeated Superman. He got up in surprise when the seven heroes appeared in front of him.
"I just beat up some punk ass in a stupid costume. Now there are six more of them!" muttered Captain Planet to himself.
"Speak for yourself!" yelled the Thing.
"After that little insult, I think I'll give you a gift, orange man!" said Captain Planet with a sinister smile on his face, the same one he gave to Superman when the two first met.
"What's that?"
"I'LL TURN YOU INTO A F*CKIN' TREE!" roared Captain Planet, whose entire body was glowing with horrible red energy.
Just as Captain Planet was charging up his magical energy blast, there was a massive bang in the sky. Captain Planet and the seven invaders looked up, and there was a massive hole in the fabric of reality, with endless blackness on the other side.
"Holy Mary Mother of God! What is that?" shrieked Ben Grimm in the most manly way he could.
"It looks like some kind of hole in space and time! I had a gut feeling that we shouldn't have tried to go outside of our own multiverse!" yelled Mr Fantastic. Lois heard what he said, and also knew that there would be risks in teaming up with a load of scientists, but she was too awestruck by the sight of the beautiful, but terrifying black hole-like thing above her. Even Captain Planet looked amazed and bewildered, and he was completely mad.
Suddenly, there was a very loud roar. It was a roar so loud that the ground beneath all of the heroes shook, yet it wasn't a land animal of any kind, but was coming directly out of the reality hole. For a few seconds everything went silent, but then, a giant three headed monster appeared out of the hole and spewed yellow electricity out of all of its mouths.
The monster spotted all of the heroes from possibly miles away, and blasted yellow electricity at the ground, destroying thousands of acres of trees. This angered Captain Planet greatly.
"You dare to destroy the trees, monster? The trees are my jam! THE TREES ARE MY JAM!" billowed Captain Planet before flying up into the sky and lunging straight towards the monster, King Ghidorah.
However, all King Ghidorah had to do was flap his gargantuan wings, which generated so much wind force that Captain Planet was blasted back down to earth, and lied there in a broken mess, before disappearing like the Wicked Witch of the West did when she died in the Wizard of Oz. As soon as he died, all of the trees transformed back into humans. Except for the ones that were destroyed by King Ghidorah. Which included Superman.
Ghidorah started destroying all of the nearby humans en masse, and screams of panic were heard all around the heroes. He then caught sight of Lois and the Fantastic Six, and started flying towards them ominously.
"Care to explain this after we destroy this thing?" asked Spider-Man to Mr Fantastic. Johnny went into Human Torch mode, and flew over to the mainland, which became a barren wasteland after Ghidorah destroyed it, followed by everyone except for Mr Fantastic and Lois.
"I know I said this would be safe, but you have to stay here while we deal with this, Lois." said Reed solemnly. Lois simply nodded, and then Reed stretched all the way over to the mainland.
Ghidorah landed several kilometres away from the heroes. They all prepared to do battle. Who will win? Ghidorah or the newly formed Fantastic Six?

The outcome...
Several years after the climatic fight between King Ghidorah and the superheroes from another world, Lois Lane settled down in Captain Planet's reality. After Ma-Ti's death at Captain Planet's hand, the Planeteers decided to ask her if she would join them as the new bearer of the power of heart. They came knocking at her door in an apartment complex in Manhattan.
"We heard that you were there when Captain Planet was killed by that giant monster, Miss Lane. Apparently you were in league with those superheroes who tried to stop that thing." said Kwame, the bearer of the power of earth. He noticed that Lois looked like she had just gotten out of bed, and looked pretty terrible.
"Get lost, kids. I don't wanna talk about it." said Lois in a gravelly tone of voice.
"Look, Miss Lane, while we were busy being trees Captain Planet killed Ma-Ti and ate his heart. Without the power of heart, this team cannot stand. Will you be the bearer of the power of heart, Miss Lane?" asked Wheeler, the bearer of the power of fire. Lois was visibly shaken by Wheeler's words and covered her mouth.
"You could respect those heroes' memories by becoming one yourself and continuing their work." said Linka, the bearer of the power of wind.
"Please go away." said Lois.
"But Miss Lane, we-"
"Get out!" yelled Lois before slamming the door in the Planeteers' faces.
She went back in the kitchen and opened another bottle of liquor. While it brought pain to her, she couldn't help but remember that tragic day when Ghidorah came to town.
Iron Man and Human Torch flew around the monster while firing blasts of energy and fire and the beast in an attempt to confuse it, but both were vaporised by two beams of lightning from King Ghidorah's mouths. Mister Fantastic used his own body as a bridge while the Thing punched one of Ghidorah's faces repeatedly, but both of them were also destroyed.
Enraged, Invisible Woman tried to explode King Ghidorah by generating a massive force field from within it, but she was killed before this attack did any actual damage to Ghidorah by... You guessed it, one of Ghidorah's lightning blasts.
Spider-Man managed to climb up one of Ghidorah's necks and go inside the monster through its mouth. He planned to stop Ghidorah from breathing by webbing up his lungs or something. However, as soon as Ghidorah noticed this, Spider-Man just got a blast of pure radiation to the face. All of the heroes died. None of them could stop Ghidorah. However, after going on a global rampage, the military eventually managed to use a specialised weapon called an Oxygen Destroyer to kill Ghidorah and reduce him to bones in mere seconds. Lois managed to survive on a small island and watched all of the heroes die from afar. Never again will she get involved with the affairs of superheroes or supervillains. A quiet life will suffice.
And so this story arc has ended. Not a happy ending by any means. In fact it's downright depressing. But whatever.
