Locked.
He tries again, but the door doesn't budge. He huffs aggressively, as he can feel the heat in the room rising. The rest of the group was behind him and he suddenly felt crowded, and with his anxiety climbing--
That was when the other woman stepped to the window. She started to throw things at the window. Michael stalked past the group and picked up a gurney, steadying it before he launched it with all his strength at the window.
(OCC: Michael helps to break the window.)

"We need to do something about this fire, the last thing we need is this place exploding before we can get out." Pascal picks up the extinguisher nearly hitting Elexa as he swung around to the group at the door "O.k guys. You guys need to either break that door down or help them get through that window. I'll stay in the back of the group so I can deal with this fire. (OOC: Pascal uses ENG to find the areas of the fire that would be best to use the extinguisher on and attempts to out the fire)

Karen ducks down when the fire starts getting stronger. Just like educational videos, Karen thinks to herself as the fire rises and she places 'smoke inhalation' as a cause of death she would rather not have. She wanted out like the rest of them, seeing the group spring into action...she took a step back away from it. She saw how well the fire extinguisher attempt went before looking over to the wolfman. If his attempt to break the glass didn't pay off she would jump in to help, a bit literally.
(OOC: Karen will stay low and keep away from the fire/possible backdraft spots to maximize the chance of her not succumbing to the fire's effects too quickly. If the window is not broken by Michael then she will attempt to build up a head of steam and smash her boot into the window with Agility and duck down for protection after)

I think three people handling that window is enough. Especially when one of them is a werewolf. Elexa instead turned her attention back to the door. I bet I can pick that.
(OOC: Elexa checks the nearby bodies and cabinets for anything to pick a lock with. If successful and able to on this turn, she attempts to pick the lock on the door)

Abbey attempts to break window with a microscope. (11 Success/ Amazingly enough she manages to make a sizable crack in the window.)
Michael hurls a gurney at the window. (2 Success/ Luckily for him, this was an extremely easy task due to the sizable crack already made by Abbey.)
Pascal attempts to put out the fire using energy. (5 Success/ Pascal puts out the floor fire.)
Karen kinda chills and watched the show. Maybe she busts a kung fu pose.
Elexa attempts to find something to pick the lock with. (Impossible/ high security door.)
The window smashed open as a gurney flies through it. Immediately, Michael changes back to his human form, having exhausted his energy. The immediate sound of the jarring alarm hits everyone's ear. Seconds later, they hear the voice over the intercom.
"Complete systems lockdown. The self destruct sequence has been activated. All employees proceed to the emergency exits. Repeat..."
It continues.

Michael's bones audibly snap as they contort back to human form. He falls from exhaustion, but smiles as he looks up to see the glass shatter to pieces. Standing, with his chest bare and his shorts now barely hanging at his waist, he jumps through the window after the woman.

"Good ole self-destructing buildings.Where the hell is my equipment? Why are we here? Why has this day been so treacherous?"
Pascal walked through the window, entered the room and looked around. "Discarded papers, computers,and two hallways. So many choices."
"From the looks of things this place has been ransacked. I doubt our stuff is here." Pascal looked around the room while he spoke to the others "What do you guys think we should do now......besides get the hell out of here?"
(OOC:Pascal looks around the computers, papers and corpses in the room while he waits for the others; using his INT to pick up any useful information or objects.)

Karen watched from a crouched position as the window shatters. Smirking she sneak-walks over to the window before jumping through as well, wary of any glass shards. She pats Michael on the back m
"Nice shot wolf boy, now let's find a way outta this place" she calls out just before the alarm sounds. She frowns, immediately looking around-
First the fire now a bomb? Screw the day I'm having, Karen thinks to herself before scanning the next room closely for a way out.
((OOC: Karen will look for the quickest way to outside the building from the room their in(an emergency exit, window, etc) before trying to make progress in opening it))

Abby says nothing. She didn't know the way out but figured one of these doctors might know the quickest way out. She empathically searches for any and all emotion to try and find someone other then the five of them who might still be alive.

Abbey attempts to reach out with her abilities to find any living minds around. (8 Success/ She senses faint 'as if distant' stress and bloodlust from the right hallway.)
Michael kinda stands next to Karen wondering if anybody will notice his half nakedness, because he had watched Fifty Shades of Grey a month ago.
Pascal attempts to find any useful items on corpses, computers or whatever using Int. (7 Success/ Pascal finds that handy dandy fire extinguisher map he was looking for. It turns out that the fire extinguisher found in the other lab was actually moved from this room.)
Karen attempts to find an exit. (7 Success/ There are two hallways at the end of the room going in opposite directions. The left hallway has a sign that says:
"Exit." It also shows directions to the lower floors and elevators/stairwells.)
The right hallway shows a sign that leads to more labs, offices and storage facilities.
Elexa attempts a perception check. (11 - Success/ She sees pretty much the same thing as everyone else. She also notices a few bloody footsteps leading from one of the lab worker's bodies to the right hallway.)
The wall map that Pascal finds shows that they are on the topmost floor of the Ivan J. Tarvius Research Facility. Nobody has heard of this facility, so they cannot place it on the map. The alarm calls again...

"Goddammit" Karen grunts, she wasn't in the mood to get lost in a building while a self-destruction sequence was raging on. She points to the two signs "Guys, this way says exit. I'll check if the door's locked, I hope it's not locked" she calls out so everyone heard over the warning. She pats Michael so he'd hopefully follow before doing a hard jog down the hallway, intent on finding the exit door and opening it.
((OOC: Karen looks for the exit door and would kick it open. If she's unable to open it she'd shout out the latest in a long line of problems))

Pascal folded the up the map after memorizing as much as he could and slid it into his pocket.
"Now I'm confused. Do they want us to escape or not? Why would someone randomly place a fire extinguisher in another room?"
He saw the bloody foot prints and walked over to them.
"Someone here is still alive, either injured or injuring people. Either way, they aren't trying to get out."
"I'm going this way buddies!" sang Pascal "Who wants to come with? It's gonna be fun, plus, according to my handy dandy map there's another exit this way!"
(OOC:Pascal starts going down the right hallway following the bloody footprints while reading the name on each door he passes.)

Abby watches the crazed man run off towards the right hallway. She turns to the other woman once he's out of earshot.
"So, just a shot in the dark, but I'm guessing there's not actually an exit that way." She says dryly.
