"I've lost it all...", repeated Rick Grimes staring at both his new found ring and his lost world. "How could this happen? I...I did all I could. Even with this.", gesturing to his ring.
"Carl...I'm sorry.", said Rick as he continued to stand froze above orbit of planet Earth. The ruined planet Earth.
After years of fighting off the Walkers and protecting the ones he loved, it all came to an end. Even after he got the power to save them. Rick blamed himself yea, but not the ring. Whatever this "Green Lantern Ring" was about, he knew it was just trying to help. If it hadn't of come, Rick would be dead too...and he couldn't let that happen. For some reason, even after watching his group suffer, Rick never lost his Will to live. Maybe that was why this Ring chose him?
Before Rick could think anymore of it, he was suddenly swept away by his collar, "MOVE!" screamed his savior as they both narrowly dodged a incoming blast.
"What the hell were you doing, sitting there?" asked the man tugging Rick along, dodging the blasts coming from some kind of spaceship. "Faster damnit! I'm tired of chasing him!" screamed The Jersey Devil standing atop the ship, firing his own blasts of red from his newly acquired Ring.
"Get off me!" Rick knocked the stranger's hand away and regained his balance. "What the hell is happen...", Rick asked before getting cut off by the other guy, "For fucks sake, you mundies are all thick arn't ya? Can't you clearly see we're under attack?"
"You're under attack, not me. I don't want any part of this." said Rick, finally noticing the man in front of him was Green as well. Same ring too.
"Too bad bub, you got a ring. Means your in this shit storm too. I saved your life once today but I won't do it again. Now you gonna fight with me or not, cuz I'm tired of running." said the stranger as he floated past Rick and faced his opponents.
"What? You done running, pup? Good, because I'm tired of playing games." replied the Jersey Devil moving from the ship to face the Green Lanterns. "Bout time I took you out Sheriff, for good."
"Jersey, what makes you think just because you got some big, nice red ring that you can get one past the Big Bad Wolf, huh? Couldn't do it then, can't do it now." spoke Sheriff Bigby
"He didn't have help," spoke the armored space man leaving his ship for the first time. "I am Zod. And you will kneel before us." gesturing to his two armored companions beside him.
"Sorry, my kneeling days are over," replied Bigby
"Hey, sorry for bringing this your way, but I'm not sure I can take all four of them myself," Bigby whispering to the awed Rick. "We Green's gotta stick together huh?", Bigby smiled, pointing out his Lantern Ring.
Rick wanted no part in this...but this man did just save his life. And what kind of man would Rick be if he just walked out on him knowing he was outnumbered. "You know anything about this Ring and why I have it? Because if you do, then that seems like a good reason to keep you around." Rick smiled back.
Bigby nodded then quickly shot a beam off at Zod, hoping for the advantage of a surprise.
"Let's see what these assholes got!"
Rick Grimes: Green Lantern - 75% charge
Bigby Wolf: Green Lantern - 90% charge
