No-Lahn had failed. Not only that, but he fled his post in shame. His son, Mark Grayson, refused to take his charge and vowed to defend the Earth. And so, Conquest had to step in. Assigned to over see the young vultrumites take over of Earth, or kill Mark Greyson and take over Earth himself. But the universe is a huge place, and the vultrumites were spread thin; it was easy for him to get lost. Espcially when you consider what no one knew. There is more than one Earth.
A wrong turn, through the wrong galaxy, and Conquest found himself in the middle of a bright, peaceful, mega city. The killer alien had expected a war torn planet, one that would be easily concurred. No matter, the vultrumite thought, the planet will still be easy to concur.
Conquest landed like a falling star, picking the tallest building to fly through. And in an instant, the city became still. Where a mighty monument once stood, there was nothing more than a crater. No, a grave. With hundreds of bodies buried in the ruble. Conquest flew above the grave, staring out toward the silent onlookers.
"Where is your champion?" his voice boomed.
To answer his call, a force hit him from behind, sending him crashing into the ground. The attack didn't hurt, merely took him by surprise. Conquest looked back to see a young man, a boy, flying in the air wearing a black T-Shirt with a red s. The boy smiled, "The champion isn't here, you'll have to settle for the runner up."
Conquest smiled and rose into the air to meet the challenge. "I was sent here to kill a boy; weather you're him or not makes little difference to me."
"Kill a boy? Well too bad for you, you've found a Super Boy."
"Super or not, it will take more than a boy to stand against Conquest."
A voice came from behind Conquest and asked, "Then how about a pair of girls?"
Conquest turned to see two females, one in blue and the other in white, had joined the battle. "Children? That is the best this planet has to offer?"
"No," Super Girl said, "It's all it needs."
