Speciffically I want to know if there's a place on this site to post fanfiction on this site that isn't matches. If not, we should have one.

That sounds like a good idea. I don't think there is right now.

I think this should be implememnted. I like the idea of people being able to share there creativeness and imagination without it having to be a fight or specific competition. I have one that I have always wanted to try out as well.

A fan-fic section for MagneticFox? Sure, I don't see why we can't at least try it out. Heh, when all is said and done, we might end up with three different communities here.

One thing, though. Didn't the FPL have fan-fics for its various original characters? It's possible that having an FPL-type section and a fan-fic section at the same time might be a bit redundant.

There's dostinction there though, FPL foction used FPL characters, where as fanfiction uses established fictional universes which was a big no-no in the FPL.

The FPL did try to only use original creations. In that case, a general fan-fic section might be plausible, and one could probably use established characters and, to the possible chagrin of old FPL vets , and characters from the possible FPL-type section.

I'd like to make an argument for segregation.
Wait, no, that came out wrong.
Anyway, in all seriousness, there was always a good reason for making people come up with their own characters and separating the FPL from fanfics. First, the last Fpl was a shared world project. It all happened within the same continuity and the world of Khazan was shaped by the actions and beliefs of the characters in it. Once you start writing spiderman stories, the shared world gets jettisoned for the Marvel Universe, (or any other combo of fictional universes). You're no longer collaborating with everyone else, which was part of the enjoyment of the last FPL. For example, if treach created an evil chaos goddess, she could call for minions, a bunch of us would write up some crazy ass minions, and we would burn everything left right and center.
The second advantage is that it's just more creative that way, or at least distinct enough to not be a fan-fic so much as a genre-fic. I don't mind fan-fics, I've written matches here which are essentially a similar idea. But you're sort of tied to writing someone else's character. There's a lot more liberty to have characters do and say what you want when you're not trying to guess at what they'd do in this situation.
What I would suggest is something like this on the main page (possibly in the place of the webcomic, or alongside it)
Original Fiction -FPL/Reach City -individual topics -Fanfics -individual topics

I think placing a thread under the magnetic fox community area would work. It could just be a spot there that is basically showing the work and creative minds of the members on here

To be honest, RPs aren't really my thing. I get bored easily. I want to finish my Kong story, but the RPs just move a bit too slowly sometimes. If a fan tic section does get made, I would rather finish the Kong Quest story in story form rather than in Rp form if that's alright with the other players.

Doing the Kong Story would be cool to read, and I know what you mean about RPs being really slow. Thats why my last post on it involved something actually happening! I really want to advance the story because I'm very interested. Quite honestly, I enjoy playing it. It adds a certain uniqueness too it. All it really takes is people actively posting. But if you want to just post your story in fan-fic thats entirely up to you, it's your idea after all.

I think it would be easier to just continue the RP.
