Hello again. I was looking for a way to add tags to topics and posts for MagneticFox, and upon asking around, I found out that ProBoards has a plugin that adds the option of hashtags to forums.
So, would anyone be interested in using hashtags here? Vote and/or comment.

I'm neutral. Personally, I don't care for them. But they are a popular trend, so I don't want to stop other, more "hip" members, from using them.

I voted yes. I probably wouldn't use them, but like DamagingRob says, I wouldn't want my choice to not use them interfere with other people's use of them.

I've voted no, because I think it's a stupid idea.
I see no real reason to have them, other than for the "wow" factor, which to me just isn't enough.
Additionally, from my understanding, people would like to see a return of the elaborate match writings.
And using hashtags to me just smacks of lazy writing, which is the opposite of what seems to be what people want the site to be.

Lol. Well, I guess I'll vote yes, then, so I'm not that one guy who didn't vote(or as it appears, to this point). Like Kain said, though, I don't see much use for them. But I wouldn't think anyone would use them, when writing match set-ups. I thought they would just get placed, at the bottom or something? I could easily put a hashtag, in a story, right now, without whatever adding this thing will do. #amimissingsomething?

I wasn't necessarily referring to the initially decideds, BTW. I was just really saying I hadn't made my OP clear at first.

I really don't see that as a good idea. Maybe if this site gets so clustered that we have to use tags to find anything sure, but I'll vote no for now.

I don't even know what a hashtag is. Ah, you avoid the social networks like I do, then.  Here's a definition I found: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashtag Beyond that, I don't really know any more about them than you do, man. I was told about a hashtag plugin available, though, and was thinking maybe that having them might make searching for things on MagneticFox, such as character profiles, a little easier. |
