Secret Wars IV:
Zoom ran at the speed of light as Thor followed flying as they traded punches and raced across the United States. Both men flew raced through the Midwest exchanging punches. Zoom laughed as Thor tried as hard as he could to keep up.
“ You idiot I've been f**king around with you for the hell of it. I could go back in time and kill any of your friends back their before they were born. This fight was over before it began. “
BOOM!
Zoom increased his time ability as he blew past Thor and left him. Thor stopped as within seconds Zoom was gone and out of site.
“ Father the speed of such a foe is beyond anything I have seen. Where did he go...”
Thor stopped mid sentence as he flew back toward the fight I New York as he realized what Zoom was doing.
“ The fool knew his speed was far superior to mine and was toying with me. He has gone back to finish off the rest of the Avengers. By Odin's grace by the time I get their....”
Thor raised his hammer and shot forward blazing at a amazing speed back to New York as fast as he can. He realized Zoom drew him away from the battle to give his allies a better chance and to distract him.
Back in New York-
Poison Ivy's vines wrapped around all over Luke Cage as he tried fighting through them as best as he could. Ivy laughed as the ground shook before her and more vines grabbed Cage from all over. Ivy walked over to Cage laughed as he fought to break free as best as he could.
“ Don't bother fighting. It won't matter because you will be my toy to play with. Hell I'll use you against your own Avengers.”
Ivy raised her hands as she released her pheromones which Luke Cage inhaled as he was busy fighting the Avengers. Luke Cage stopped fighting as he dropped to one knee and bowed before Ivy.
“ My beautiful Ivy. How can I please you?”
Ivy smiled as she walked over to Cage and touched him across the head giving him a signal to rise to his knees. Black Widow saw what was happening as she counter Shiva's punches and combinations as she back flipped in the air. Widow then pulled out her gun and shot at Shiva who flipped and rolled out the way. Widow landed on the ground as Shiva rushed to attack as Widow rolled out the way of a series of kicks and ran to Shiva as she kicked Shiva with a somersault kick as Shiva dropped to the ground holding her head. Widow ran to Ivy and Cage as Cage ran toward Widow.
“ Cage? Are you …...”
Wham!
Cage punched Widow in the chest as she got sent flying back on the ground. Widow coughed up blood as she looked in shock at Cage.
“ Cage whatever she did you have to fight it!”
Cage grabbed Widow by the head and choked her. He turned Widow to Shiva who walked with her sword.
“ Thank you my dear Cage. Excellent work Ivy. Now...”
Slash!
Shiva's sword cut Widow's head off as it fell from her body and Cage dropped her body to the ground. Hulk fought Grundy as his anger increased and he started punching Grundy with increasing strength as he overpowered him after a couple minutes smashing his face in. Captain America who was fighting Bane and just knocked him out with a shield to the head looked in horror at Black Widow's death. Anger built up as suddenly Spiderman who had taken care of Joker and Harley landed near Captain America.
“ Cap we have to retreat. They caught us off guard. We are winning but that yellow idiot is going to be back soon and even Thor couldn't keep up...”
Bam! Bam!
Zoom raced out of nowhere as with one fist he punched through Captain America's chest killing him instantly and with another he knocked out Spiderman. Zoom looked at the battle and saw his team winning as he smiled. A message came in on his com as he answered and Luthor answered.
“ Excellent work Zoom. Your men are doing a excellent job of slaughtering these heroes. Finish the rest off and get back to base.”
Zoom closed the com as before he and any of the battles could resume as multiple huge lighting blasts shot down on all the remaining villains electrocuting them. A huge lighting storm could be seen as the heroes all moved back and got away as a huge lightening explosion went off. Thor in the sky continued angry at the site of his fallen friends as he killed the remaining villains. Ivy, Bane, Red Hood, Zoom who was caught off guard, and Shiva were dead. Grundy had been killed by Hulk, Giganta knocked out by Hank, and Metallo now scrap metal courtesy of Wolverine's claws. Thor looked down as the remaining heroes looked at Luke Cage who was no longer under Ivy's control with tears going down his face near Widow's side as everyone mourned her and Captain America. Thor landed near Zoom and just to make sure he was dead grabbed his body and with his strength threw Zoom off planet into space. Wolverine grinned at the move and nodded in Thor agreeing with the move due to Zoom's healing factor because of his speed. Wolverine checked on Spiderman who was still alive and picked up as others helped each other. Maria Hill walked up to the heroes as she shook her head.
“ Thor I know that wasn't hard but thank god. And yes I know the irony of that last statement. They wanted a war they got one. While you guys were here fighting I took my best Shield agents and went to track down another group of those idiots in London This was all another diversion and a big one. These guys are being lead by a dangerous smart and cunning leader. “
Thor and the Avengers listened as Thor yelled in anger at everything that was transpiring. Wolverine spoke up angered as he thought for a second as Hill hadn't mentioned what happened in London yet.
“ What was in London Hill that they didn't want us to know about?”
Maria Hill stood silent and sighed. Wolverine and the others knew something big happened as Maria took time before continuing.
“ I don't know how to say this... They hit a base where apparently research was being done by Dr. Doom and A.I.M to recreate....”
Maria shook her head at the insanity around her and the thought of what she was about to say.
“ The f**king Void! It looked like they were trying to recreate the formula that turned Bob into Sentry/Void. I don't even know how these guys came over here and in less then a couple of months they know everything about us. They have rounded up our most dangerous villains and so far they have kicked our ass until now. Either Doom is working with them or they have been around longer then a couple of months gathering intel. We know for a fact they are definitely preparing to take over our world with this massive army. But f**king Void? “
All the Avengers stood silent as Spiderman spoke up as he got a message from Iron man and others they were tracking down the villains to the last underground base they occupied in the Savage Land. Reed apparently managed to get Bronze Tiger and Deathstroke talking during interrogation with a serum he made. Spiderman continued talking as he explained everything.
“ Okay so listen. According to those two gentlemen this group of villains on their world their apart of is called the Secret Society of Villains. It seems years ago we encountered this world's heroes and villains but don't remember because of some big cosmic battle that happened with somebody named Kronos. Point is some how they remember what happened before us and developed this huge planet to take over our world. I guess it's one of those we couldn't take over our planet let's try this one. Accept they pulled a smart move unlike the other geniuses we know and didn't invade us at first similar to what the Skrulls did. They secretly managed to teleport over here using something called a boom-tube and gathered intel for two years on us. While doing that they learned about our villains and all the heroes we have here. They even know some of our history but not all of it thanks to Reed Richard's new security system he installed in Shield computers. It seems they decided to recruit our villains as well and build this massive super villain army to kill us all and take over. Iron man has taken a group of heroes in case they get ambushed over to the base in the Savage Land to see if they left any clues as to where they are. Or better yet where their gone hit next.”
Maria Hill, Thor, Wolverine, and more all thought for a second. Hank Pym stepped up and spoke first after a couple of minutes of silence.
“ Then what we need to do is rest and gather our strength. Then tomorrow we get whatever villains are left in prison or in hiding and throw them into the negative zone so they can't recruit anymore villains. Let Iron man and his group get intel. In the meanwhile this army they have is massive and they could definitely take us out. Contact the X-Men and all of them even Cyclops's group Maria. Get the Fantastic Four while their still on this Earth and the In-humans Get everybody. We are gone build our own army and be ready for them. Oh and in Captain America's absence I am the new leader of the Avengers. Any questions?”
Maria, Bruce Banner, and others smiled as the old Hank Pym they realized was now back. Nick Fury walked to the group as he clapped his hands.
“ About damn time you came back too us Pym. Great plan though your forgetting the part about Void. Did they managed to recreate the formula? What are they going to do with it or Who wants to become the next Sentry to increase their chances? Are Doom and A.I.M working with them? Or were they betrayed and killed? All questions that need answers folks.”
Everyone looked at Fury as they realized he had been gone the entire time. Pym looked surprised but then his expression turned to curiosity over where Fury was during the battle.
“ Fury where the hell were you? Cap is dead and....”
Fury cuts off Pym as he points upwards. Hyperion, Captain Marvel, and Hope Summers land as the Avengers smile at Fury. Namor, Skaar, and more showed up.
“ Getting some more heavy hitters to help Thor and Hulk out. I didn't even know you all were under a attack. I couldn't make the Funeral because I was getting in touch and contacting all these guys. These three were off planet on a mission and I managed to get them back here with some help. I also got Namor and these other guys on board. Everybody here and more now knows we are at war. Now Pym go ahead with your plan and the rest of us who haven't fought yet will help Shield gather any villains in hiding. We'll help transfer them over to the Negative Zone.”
Everyone nodded as people began to move and events were set into motion.
Savage Land-
Iron man, Rogue, Havok, and others traveled throughout the Savage Land as Iron man using his tracking device lead his team toward the entrance to the base. Iron man came upon two huge metal doors that were already open. Livewire, Venom, Dr. Light, Grodd, Iron Patriot, and others were coming out with the last of their equipment as the Avengers smiled. Rogue cracked her knuckles as Scarlett Witch's eyes lit up in anger as Iron man spoke.
“ I have been begging to take on you idiots after what you did to my dear friends. Thank you for getting the equipment and all the information we need rounded up for us. Looks like we get to kick your asses and get the information we came here for. Double bonus.”
The Avengers prepared for battle as Gorilla Grodd spoke.
“ Ah the Avengers. How wonderful for you to to come uninvited. We were just taking the last of our stuff and getting on with business. You being here was expected of course. Now...Now...I would offer you a chance to go away and escape death but I know how hellbent you heroes are on avenging your friends. So let's get this talking out the way....”
The two teams moved forward as the battle began.
