If one is trying to find a specific character, he/she may initially try to use the site's search function. Unfortunately, that search function has proven somewhat unreliable thus far. People may have tried to find an available profile through search, and either found a different character or post, or even come up with no results at all. Users may be missing out on looking up and using profiles of their favorite characters. In this case, how does one look up a character profile that may actually be available? I have come up with a solution for this. It may be a bit tedious, but it's probably the most reliable way to search for you favorite characters. - First, head over to the Database. - Click on the genre board ( Comics, Anime, Cartoons, etc.) you think your character may be. - Press Ctrl + F on your keyboard/keypad to start a word search, type in a key word or phrase for your character in the Word Search Pop-up, and press Return. - If your character doesn't turn up on the page of the genre board, click to the next page and Ctrl + F again, and so on, and so forth. - If your character can't be found on the board you're searching, you may want to try to search another genre board. Otherwise you may have to wait until that character's profile is added. I hope this helps. Try the normal search method first, of course, but if you can't find your character(s) that way, try the method above. There will eventually be more to come with this thread, as I'll be expanding upon it soon-ish.

Hmm.... I have edited some profiles to show the way they should.
The method I used is simple....
I. Find any profile that isn't showing up properly
II. Add an a to the end of the name, or make a small change.
III. Delete a, or fix any needed change.
IV. Search it up again.

Here's an update: the search function has apparently been fixed, so feel free to search for characters in the Database as you wish.
I'll unpin this thread now, but if the problem crops up again, let us know.

Alright, ProBoard's main admins have once again fixed the problem. Search away for your favorite characters. But as always, let us know if any search problems recur.
