Death Battle cocked Goku vs. Superman up. They were mixing feats from Pre-Flashpoint Superman and New 52 Superman and calling it his max potential. I don't care about the winner but at least don't mix your continuity.

What's the point? They've done it plenty of times before in other battles.

youtu.be/L0D0VGomWb4This was actually really good. They didn't do what I said previously (merge continuities). They only used feats from Pre-Flashpoint canon. They just had him wear the New 52 costume in the battle because I suppose it's now more recognisable. The battle would have been greater if it showed a picture of our forum or the Ferret. \ / Because we all know that we are the best. What they said about Superman having no limits isn't exactly true, but it is kind of true in spirit. Compared to us mortals, and by extension Goku, Superman's vast powers do seem completely limitless. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is such a ridiculous name that I actually love it. He does look a bit too much like Toriko now, though, which is ironic, since Toriko was partially inspired by Son Goku and other old-timey buff Shonen Jump heroes. ;3

So they shouldn't have been using Pre-Flashpoint feats. That's not Superman anymore. Of course they also said in the live show he'd been rebooted twice since their last battle which is untrue considering that was in 2012/2013 and the New 52 launched in 2011. I can understand using Pre-Flashpoint Superman back in 2012, but now? No, that's just disingenuous to though watching when they said they'd be focusing on New 52 Superman and gave him the Super Flare. If they'd used strictly new 52 stuff and Goku lost I wouldn't have an issue but they seemingly tacked Super Flare on to Pre-Flashpoint Superman. Either the so-called experts don't know their facts as well as they claim or they deliberately skewed things by using Pre-Flashpoint feats. Either way, I can't say my respect for Screwattack has gone up.

Either way, I can't say my respect for Screwattack has gone up. Yeah, but compared to other things they've done, and considering the fact that the ability, as you said, plays no part in the battle, it doesn't really matter. The thing about DCU getting rebooted twice could imply that the Screwattack team were working on Superman vs Goku before or just as the New 52 was launched all the way back in 2011, but I doubt it. They probably just fudged up with that. Most Screwattack viewers are gamers and probably don't care as much as we do about continuity or lore, and hence wouldn't care about the differences between the Post and Pre Flashpoint Supermen, or the differences between the various incarnations of Godzilla. The battle featuring the latter character is so weird. Seeing the more modern version of Godzilla performing Showa Godzilla's atomic breath powered flight. Anyway, I find it strange that Screwattack are dead set on jumping on the Youtube superhero craze even though they clearly just get their 'research' from a couple of quick Google searches.

Iirc, if you watch the first one, they actually said flat out that they were using feats/data from all continuities, as long as the data did not contradict anything from canon. This is why they included, among other things, the Super Saiyan 4 form for Goku. And as long as they do that for both characters(which they did), it's still a fair comparison. It seems safe to assume, that since they didn't say anything to retract that, in the second one, that they are doing the same in that one as well.

The one who lived in the sun for 15,000 years and after getting reality warping powers and a Green Lantern ring and just ridiculously OP.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that even that Superman has some limits. He's not really, truly omnipotent. If he were to reach that stage, then yeah, limitless power. Props to him. I hope he finds a nice omnipotent girlfriend.

That's... kinda the effect of being omnipotent-- without limit. That universe with Superman-Prime One Million is not really with differing events, just a what if of what would happen if he spent 15,000 years in the sun (i.e. making him srsmode OP and for all intents and purposes a god).

This is less of an 'On the Internet' thing, but since there aren't any other threads where it could be possibly applicable, has anyone checked out Banksy's Dismaland? As its name suggests, it's basically a dark, depressing and satirical take on Disneyland, but with such wonderful attractions as a beautifully detailed scale model of a brutal riot in a street, or a boat filled with sculptures of poor migrants. How Banksy managed to pull this off and still keep his identity a mystery is just that. A mystery.
Not that I want Banksy's true identity to ever be revealed though. I don't think anyone does apart from government stick-in-the-muds who still believe his work to be petty vandalism.
