Chi-Chi
Chi-Chi (チチ ) is the wife of Goku and the mother of Gohan and Goten. She is very protective over the well being of her family, wishing to remove Gohan from Goku's lifestyle of fighting and constant conflict, but this is interrupted by the constant threats to Earth. She later relaxes with Goten, even training him herself. As the daughter of Gyu-Mao (Ox King), who trained under Kame-Sennin, she is very strong in her own right. She and Goku first meet as children when Gyu-Mao asked Goku to take her to Kame-Sennin's house. In a misunderstanding, Goku promises to marry her. Years later, she confronts him to have him fulfill the promise in the quarter-finals of the 23rd Tenka'ichi Budokai, despite the misunderstanding. She was voiced by Mayumi Sho in the Japanese version of the series until episode 88, from which point she is voiced by Naoko Watanabe. In the Funimation dub, she is voiced by Laura Bailey as a child and by Cynthia Cranz as an adult. Chi-Chi is played by Jamie Chung in the American live-action film Dragonball Evolution; her voice was dubbed over by Ami Koshimizu in the Japanese version of the film.
Chi-Chi is the daughter of the Ox-King who later marries Goku and becomes the loving mother of Gohan and Goten. She was first introduced as a shy and fearful girl, but later, as she gets older, develops a very tomboyish, tough and fierce personality, which sometimes causes her to have anger outbursts seen several times throughout the series. Despite this, she has shown her love for Goku and their sons many times throughout the series. Her blood type is AB.
Chi-Chi is a tough young woman with long straight black hair and a lighter skin color. As a child, Chi-Chi's appearance consisted of a blue bikini, pink gloves and boots, a green cape and her pink helmet. Chi-Chi kept this appearance until the Piccolo Jr. Saga where she wears a blue cheongsam (Chinese dress) with red pants, arm band, and shoes, white socks and a red sash. In this appearance she also wore her hair in a ponytail. Nearly all of the clothes Chi-Chi is seen wearing in her adulthood are Chinese dresses and martial arts uniforms.
