For the Doctor Who fans here, if any - David Tennant or Matt Smith?

Smith fan myself, in case my avatar wasn't hint enough. Tennant was good, but Smith plays the role better in just about every way imaginable. More emotive, compelling, funnier, less of a superheroic swashbuckler (something that really annoyed me about the Tenth-- though he still has some elements of this, it's toned down quite a lot) and above-all, he plays up the alien, nutty professor-esque card (similar to Tom Baker and Patrick Troughton, easily two of the best of the classic series). Tennant was nothing like that - rather, he was one of the most human-like Doctors. Seriously, he pretty much acted 99% human, if a hyperactive, bubbly human. Tennant was the one who could walk into a crowd of normal people and have them loving him within five minutes 'cause he's just plain witty and fun. Basically, Tennant did not come across as an alien personality-wise. At all. Just a normal, slightly-eccentric, highly intelligent bloke. With Smith, on the other hand, you can tell he's an alien-- as I said, cranks up the nutty professor aspect of the character. Thing is, though, while his eccentricity is more profound, his humanity isn't really any less so. He could also walk into a crowd of average people and have them loving him within five minutes (he pretty much did this in one of the episodes-- got a job in the shop, everybody working there knew and adored him by the end of his first day). He knows how to be funny, intelligent without coming across as condescending, and the eccentricity only adds to the likability factor. Basically, in my opinion, Smith sort of takes the best bits from Tennant and Tom Baker and puts his own spin on 'em. It's why he's my favorite. Oh yeah, and there's also the fact that the writing was pretty abysmal for a lot of Tennant's run. Not all of it, but a good portion. Steven Moffat is an infinitely better writer than Russel T Davies, and Smith has also had the privilege of getting Neil Gaiman a few times. Better companions, too. Amy/Clara are both far superior to Rose/Martha (Donna was good though), and who the hell can compare to Rory?

Seriously though, I don't think there's ever been a bad Doctor. Having watched through all the revival's episodes over the last few months, Smith is my personal favorite of the eleven, but they all bring a whole load of unique and interesting stuff to the table. My favorite of the classic series is Peter Davison, but Tom Baker comes a reeeeeeeeeeally close second.

Yup. Good show. Probably my second-favorite crime drama, after Sherlock.

I'd rank it a notch under The Wire.
Which I rank a notch under Sherlock.
Which I rank a notch under Game of Thrones.
It's a lot better than Dexter, Sons of Anarchy and Walking Dead, though.

I should watch more TV.. but I don't. I'm only able to keep up with The Walking Dead, 'cause they repeat it four or five times. Otherwise, football would get in the way of that, too... Speaking of which, Tyreese gonna kill some foo's! Any thoughts as to who might have burned the bodies and/or feeding the zombies rats? I don't know how they expect us to care about these people, though.. Derr, here's new love interests for some of the characters, that die in the first 2 episodes. I wish they'd have left the prison, like they did in the comics, too. Kind of annoying they're still there, this season.

I'd rank it a notch under The Wire. Which I rank a notch under Sherlock. Which I rank a notch under Game of Thrones. It's a lot better than Dexter, Sons of Anarchy and Walking Dead, though. Haven't seen the Wire(heard its a good show), Sherlock or Game Of Thrones yet(I know its ridiculous...lol). But I rank Break Bad over Walking Dead(I love WD, trust me I do but BB was just too good), next is Sons of Anarchy(really good show and then Dexter. I tried getting into Dexter, but the show is meh...The concept of the show is really interesting though.
