Serpentor (GI Joe) & T-800 Terminator
vs.
Batroc (Marvel) & Zangief (Street Fighter)
Location: deserted island
Tournament rules
The teams simply appear in their environments at 100% health and strength.
They have no prep time before the battle.
They know instinctively that they are to fight together against the team in front of them.
The partners do know each other because the 1 on 1 rounds happened so they’ve been on the receiving end of each others’ attacks.
All characters are in their regular mindset but are properly motivated to win within their moral boundaries.
To win:
-submission/incapacitation (unable to continue fighting for a ten second count)
-knock out (again, ten second count)
-out of ring (if on a rooftop, cliff or something) flight negates this avenue of victory
-death/destruction
2nd chance round add ons:
-The characters appear, from their perspective, immediately after their last fight back at 100%.
-
- They have their memories of working with their partner last time but they haven’t seen any of the other teams yet. So these fights are all still first encounters.

Hard match here. Zangief has the super-strength to fight the Terminator and rip its metal head off. However he does not have the durability high enough to keep the Terminator from punching a hole through him. Serpentor vs Batroc could go either way

As strong a Zangief is, I still say the Terminator kills him although it will get knocked around more than it programing would expect from a human.
I never really though to Serpentor and Batroc duking it out. Serpentor is so strong that he would be dangerous for the much faster and agile Batroc to get in close to. Whatever the case, The Terminator will kill Batroc too once it gets done with Zangief.

Yea exactly. I could see Zangief trying to grapple the Terminator and the T-800 just ripping his head off or taking a arm off.

Zangief has been beefed up to a ridiculous level circa Street Fighter V. In the story mode, Zangief gets hit by a psycho power-infused katana directly on the chest, and receives no damage because of "muscle power". I would honestly think that he would be able to beat a Terminator in his current appearance.

Zangief is pretty over-powered taking Balrog's strongest hit like Superman or something. I hate how they always chump Balrog out.
