So, what's the deal with this Emerald character? Is she an original character created for the UWT that is from the Prince of Persia world, or does she just reside there? Just curious. She's my own OC, made from the events of UWT. Time for a history lesson. UWT1: The days long before this thing took off and became it's own franchise. Select warriors were chosen to compete in a tournament, for reasons that escape me at the moment. Among those characters was my team of Dante and the Prince. The Prince was killed in the tournament so Dante promised his new friend that he'd look over his kingdom. Dante became the new King of Persia. Inbetween: In the downtime between UWT1 and 2, Dante and Lady (whom he brought with him as his queen) found Emerald as a slave girl and saved her from her abusive master and adopted her as their own. UWT2: When duty called again, Dante left to battled the forces of the Cult - leaving Lady in charge of the kingdom and of Emerald's care. At the end of UWT2, when Chtulu was freed and the Doctor arrived to save everyone, Dante stayed back to hold off Cthulu. UWT3: The Doctor sent a group to Persia to find Lady. There, they met Emerald who insisted on following them and helping. In the end, Lady was killed. Emerald tried to bring her back, but she didn't realize the price was the death of her home-world, while Lady was brought back as a corrupt version of herself. The team and Emerald managed to barely escape the destruction of her home world. With the UWT3 crew helping her, Emerald learned the magic of the ancient language and became a great warrior. After: When the Cult was defeated, Emerald stayed with the Doctor and together they traveled the universe.

Name: Katie Marek Appearance: Home: Earth? Not really sure what to put here given her nature. Bio: Katie Marek was born in a dystopian future where the Galactic had overtaken Earth to UWT heroes Galen Marek and Vin Marek. She grew up a resistance fighter in Philadelphia, fighting in a losing war where her friends and family kept dying. She was sent back in time to change history but not before seeing her home planet get blown up. With her help history was in fact changed and Earth was saved. After the war with the Empire Katie felt kind of lost as to what to do next. As fate would have it she became a companion of the The Tenth Doctor and traveled with him even falling in love with his daughter Jenny. She was his companion during the UWT battles. At the moment of recruitment for this she was visiting home for old times' sake. Basic powers: Powerful Mistborn and Force User with both light side and dark side abilities. Weaknesses: Katie is a pewter savant and tends to push her body far beyond its limits almost constantly. While her savant status makes her almost feel no pain and keeps her going for long periods of time, she has essentially become addicted to pewter and must burn it to function normally and when she finally does sleep she is known to sleep for days. She is also less than sane due to massive PTSD. Equipment: Two Lerasium shoto lightsabers, each one doubling her Allomantic powers when used. A full coin pouch, two aluminum Colt .45 revolvers. 100 aluminum bullets, 4 glass vials, two glass daggers. Large blocks of each of the sixteen Allomantic metals (the useful ones anyway. One phial, to save off bits of metal to put in her vials. Level: Katie whrn moving at full pewter and Force enhanced speed can vanish from sight, save for those who can react to things like bullets. She has moderate super strength, maybe half a ton. Katie's obviously approved The universe works in mysterious ways. It's implied throughout the LoG series that Edward and Tubbs can be quite effective killers if they want to be. Alright, that's probably fine. Just wanted to make sure.

I'm surprised the insomniac, armed to the the teeth, PTSD riddled drug addict was "obviously approved".

The Khazan Secret Wars matches have gotten me back into UWT. It'll be good to play Katie again, she's always been fun.

Writing interactions between Edward and these characters is certainly going to be interesting and hilarious! XD I highly anticipate being a part of this, guys. Thanks for letting me join up!

Once everyone is signed up, you'll all receive a PM that will act as your character's personal introduction to the RP. Basically what you can expect is your character going about their daily routine and Emerald showing up to recruit them. Of course, it won't exactly be that simple.

I feel bad for the other characters. I can't imagine may of them will find Katie easy to work with. I basically trew her parents in a blender with teenage Earth girl and saw what shook out. The result had the best and worst traits of Vin and Galen and had her own idiosyncrasies and quirks on top of that.

Man, I don't know why it's difficult to get over the "trainwreck" that was UWT3??? I mean I got over my craptastic portrayal of Benjamin K. Tennyson and his exploits. I'm attached to some components of the plot yet at the same time I'm not particularly fond of a few scenarios.
Just as well, it's not like any of us were masterful composers of fine prose at the time.
Anyway, despite what I might feel in respect to a few things, and characters, it's nice to see UWT's still kicking.

Consider this is my place holder. I will post my character as soon as I leave Mississippi.

I could explain it to you, but I get the feeling you wouldn't care no matter what I said so I'm just going to leave it at I have my reaasons.

Might it be you have more than a secure attachment to the mythos behind the RPs or?
To be fair, if I wasn't curious, I wouldn't have said anything.

Yes, I was very attached to the plot of the first two, partially I think because I had a big hand in it. I was invested. So watching it fall apart certainly was less than pleasant. In addition, I was not in the best state mentally at the time. Cabin fever, possible depression, I had a mini mental break because of the added stress of the RP. No joke. That likely colors things for me as well. I've had trouble seriously roleplaying since for fear of a repeat episode, but I'm in a much better place now. It's taken me time to move past the RP phobia and the loss of mythos I helped build, but mainly the nervous breakdown. For the other stuff I have fanfiction.
