And here we go.
This thread is just to make sure I have enough people doing this to be worth the while, and to introduce everyone to the character slots. In a few days, team selection will officially open. So, if you're interested, a simple "Aye" or "YES!" or even "sure whatevs" will suffice.
Slots:
1. Melee Weapon Master: Low or unpowered characters. Excel in the use of close range weapons. Low tech. Examples; Inigo Montoya, Himura Kenshin, Spartacus.
2. Magnificent Bastard: Low or unpowered characters. Brilliant planners and strategists. Opponents will compete in tasks, but will always have access to the same resources in all tasks. This means Dr. Doom would not have access to his mass resources, only resources specified for that specific task. Tasks will be anything from corporate takeovers to successfully leading invasion forces.
3. Master Thief: Low or unpowered characters. Excel in stealth and general thievery.
4. Bounty Hunter: Low or unpowered characters only. Expert assassins, bounty hunters, and trackers.
5. Heavy Hitters: This slot is for generally higher level characters. These are characters above street level, but under the level of characters like Superman or the Silver Surfer. Think Iron Man or Wonder Woman. The biggest restriction here is that while these characters could conceivably destroy a city, it would take them more than a few hours to do so.
I'll edit this post with the date and time team selection will open. I'm currently thinking of Saturday around noon, but that's not a day or time set in stone.
But before going any further, there are some things that I want to get out of the way.
1: THIS IS FOR FUN. Something we're really good at is getting too worked up over the inconsequential. Don't be the guy who gets pissed off because your guy lost a fight.
2: This is being run by me, a human being very capable of making mistakes. So if something goes awry on my end, don't get too pissy. Any problems can be brought to my attention, and I will be much more likely to fix things that are brought to me politely. This also means there is some possibility of delays. College, my job, and my sanity will be put above this. That said, I do intend to keep this to a pretty consistent schedule.
