This is just a bit of fun. Here's the idea: Make up a four-man/woman/whatever team made up of fictional characters, historical figures, and whatever else you want. You can then talk about how these characters would interact with each other if they were on a secret mission.
Here's an example:
Howard the Duck (Marvel Comics Universe) Luis Suaréz (FC Barcelona) Andy Carroll (West Ham United) Niko Bellic (Grand Theft Auto IV)
Howard would be the cynic and the deadpan snarker of the team. He and the two footballers, both of whom acting as the only sane men of the team, would have to keep Niko from stealing things and shooting people for no good reason.
Who would be on your dream A-Team?

I was actually thinking of something kind of like this. I've thought about doing a Voltron origin story, you know when the five guys first got recruited and sent to find Voltron (the shortlived Devils Due story did a good job modernizing that tale) and just using five live action heroes to replace the true five Volton pilots.
So far, all I have is
Captain Steve Hiller (Will Smith's character in Independence Day) Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise's character from the Mission Impossible movies) Macgyver (I believe IDW has or had a comic series that they did recently) and maybe Michael Knight (Knight Rider)

Great idea. I like Leroy's idea regarding Voltron but I am going to apply that to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Red Ranger (Dick Grayson) Black Ranger (Dre Parker from Karate Kid) Blue Ranger (Amadeus Cho from Marvel) Pink Ranger (Katniss from Hunger Games) Yellow Ranger (Chun Li)

Bronn(Game of Thrones) Methos(Highlander) Constantine(DC/Vertigo) Gambit(Marvel)
A team of people who are more gray, than pure white or black. Each of them has their own "code" they follow, and can be completely ruthless if they have to.
If needs be, Lucifer Morningstar could be added to the team, since he's the same general kind of character, though he would probably need to be de-powered to fit in.

As I said, just a bit of fun.

Yea, but Lucifer Morningstar, with his full power level, doesn't really fit into that team, for the purpose of any mission.
Any mission that the team could be sent on, he could handle on his own, if he has his full power.
Though maybe as a Fury to their Avengers, the guy that put the team together, and who stays back on the base giving orders.

Dutch (Schwartsanagger's character from Predator) Malcolm Reynolds (Captain of the FireFly) Spike Segal (Cowboy Bebop) Dana Sterling (Robotech)
( I love these. Don't be surprise if I put up some more.)

Thorin Oakenshield (Peter Jackson's The Hobbit Films) Kogoro Tenzai (Project X Zone) Lennie and George (Of Mice and Men)
'Cause why not? Thorin would be the flawed anti-hero like in the film series and by extension the original book, while Kogoro would be the snarky but intelligent ninja of the group like in his game. George would mostly keep himself to himself while Lennie would chirp in on whatever the others talk about.
"Tell 'em about the rabbits we'll have, George!" - Lennie
"You know, I once fought a rabbit man during this one crazy adventure. He even had a giant rabbit mecha suit!" - Kogoro
"Really!? Why you fight the rabbits! Why you hurt the rabbits!?"
"Easy, Lennie." - George
"I would very much appreciate it if you could all not kill each other so that we can complete this mission. I would like to get back to my own mission of retrieving my gold from that dragon." - Thorin

The A Team... The Advertisement Team!
Tom Dickson (Will It Blend?) - A man who advertises his brand of blenders by blending random objects that don't really need to be blended in them. These random objects could include Bic lighters, iPhones, marbles, and toys, and all of them seem to give off some kind of noxious gas after being blended, which Dickson always warns his viewers not to breath in. The brains of the team.
Segata Sanshiro (Sega Saturn commercials) - A wandering martial arts master who carries who carries a giant Sega Saturn console on his back and beats the living crap out of anyone who doesn't have a Sega Saturn. He is undoubtedly the most powerful and unpredictable being on the team, making him the wild card/muscle of the group.
Brian (Confused.com) - A sentient robot who travels around the United Kingdom while advertising the website Confused.com. When he sees someone who he thinks needs help on saving money on their car insurance, he will not stop until they know about confused.com. Due to him having no combat experience, he would be the useless one of the team and the comic relief.
Kevin Bacon - A real life film actor who travelled the United Kingdom while trying to find a cure for the effects of 'Bufferface', which causes one's face to look either annoyed or depressed when waiting for something on one's mobile phone to buffer for too long. He advertises 4G from EE to help counteract the effects of bufferface.
Their mission would have them trying to help the British Red Cross stop Crisis, a character created by the British Red Cross as a physical representation of how a devastating crisis can happen to anyone. She walks around with her dog and brings a crisis to whoever she sees. The team would also helping people who were affected by her meddling. However, like the Avengers, it would take some time for them to work together properly, especially Sanshiro, who would be like the Hulk of the team who everyone else would struggle to keep under control. This would actually be a pretty good plot for a movie. Take notes, Hollywood.

Captain Planet (FoD) - Agressive Quicksilver (DoFP) - Humorous Aang (TLA) - Balanced Jimmy Neutron - Genius
I don't know why I put these guys together, I just thought it would be funny. I can see Captain Planet and Aang at least agreeing with the fact that protecting the planet is sacred, but Aang disagreeing with Planet's method. I can see Quicksilver messing with everyone, but still being helpful. Jimmy's genius would be a tool, though a valuable one, though probably an overlooked one all things considered. He and Aang would probably get along best, with him fascinating Aang with the new age tech.
