Conquest (Invincible)
Conquest is an antagonist from the Invincible comic books published by Image Comics. He is a Viltrumite who was tasked with overseeing the titular main character, Invincible's, takeover of the planet Earth.
Very little is known about the Viltrumite named Conquest’s history before his arrival on Earth. All that is known, is that he was sent to “troublesome” planets in order to quell resistance to Viltrumite rule. He was on one such mission against the Rognarr when he exhibited the secondary effects of the Scourge Virus; the once seemingly indestructible Viltrumite was badly maimed in battle against the savage beasts and barely escaped with his life.
An indeterminate amount of time passed between his maiming at the hands of the Rognarr and his summons to earth. When he arrived he was stunned to see that the planet’s defences were still in place, despite it being in shambles as a result of the “Invincible War”. Worse, upon his arrival he found the Viltrumites’ assigned designate, Invincible, aiding the humans with its rebuilding.
With disgust and visible annoyance, Conquest gave Invincible a single chance to explain his actions, and when he was rebuked, immediately launched into a vicious assault on the young Viltrumite.
