Well, if it were badly written, we'd likely tell you lol. If it makes you feel any better, it could have been longer. As resilient as Frieza is, I don't think he'd be able to survive a singularity being created in his eyeball, heh.

Or getting turned into water by Surfer. Or absorbed by his surfboard. Or getting punched a million times before he can even blink, because Surfer is that much faster, even if this was Frieza's final form.
Which it isn't, as you've established this is just a little bit after Frieza blows up Planet Vegeta. Making this first form Frieza and rendering your defense of Frieza and all his wonderful durability moot.
Frieza would be lucky to not be a bloody red smear after the first second or two.

Frieza has until the Silver Surfer figures out how much he needs to take him out. Frieza could maybe get a couple good blasts or strikes in, assuming the Surfer underestimates him. But that's as far as it goes. I mean, really the only DBZ character who stands a snow ball's chance in hell against the surfer is Buu, and even then it won't take much more than the Surfer figuring out the right way to take him out for the fight to be over.
